Hello everybody!
So, with the official book releasing the other day, I decided to update this thread I made about a year ago , to reflect the changes confirmed in the book as well as the changes that happened due to SASUKE 40. I will update this again if anything changes after SASUKE 41 as a fair amount has changed since then. If you're just interested in what has changed since then, I'll list it for you below:
This isn't an actual change really, as this was available info at the time, but I fixed a mistake where I listed Naoto Amano as having only cleared Stage One in SASUKE 2, when he actually competed in SASUKE 1 as well where also cleared Stage One, making his feat seem not quite as impressive as it actually was I fixed that here, sorry Naoto lol.
As for the actual changes, firstly let's go over the ones caused by the release of the results book. Takuyu Ueda leaves the list, as he has been confirmed to have competed in SASUKE 3, where he failed Stage 1. Contrastly, Tatsuya Yamamoto joins the list, as he was confirmed to not have competed in SASUKE 4, therefore he never failed Stage 1 and that means he joins the list of people to clear Stage Two in every tournament they competed in.
EDIT: loboticaltree noticed that Haruhisa Miyazawa was also confirmed to not have competed in SASUKE 4, which means he also joins the list of people who never failed before Stage One!
Secondly, there are the changes that were caused by SASUKE 40. There were people who got eliminated from the list entirely. Hideki Ajima was removed from the list after just one tournament of being on it after failing the Dragon Glider. Rinne Sugeta also failed the Dragon Glider lost his place on the list after a two tournament streak. These two runs happened consecutively too, very unfortunate for them.
Jessie Graff remains on the list, as she still is able to say that she has cleared Stage One in every tournament she has competed in, but because she timed out on the Reverse Conveyor in Stage 2 in 40, she has no longer cleared Stage 2 in every tournament she has competed in.
As for the people who benefitted after SASUKE 40, Koji Saikawa cleared Stage One again, making it four in a row. Hayate Kajihara also cleared Stage One again, making it three in a row. Kane Kosugi returned after a 32 tournament, 21 year hiatus, and astonishingly cleared Stage One again, making it 6 in a row, a record for the list. Yoshiyuki Yamamoto was the final person to continue his streak, as he cleared Stage One and Two again, making 4 tournaments in a row where he had never failed the first two stages, another record.
Finally, 40 also brought us two newcomers to the list, with Hayato Takasuka, the new Black Tiger, and Oliver Edelmann, the Ninja Warrior Germany competitor, both clearing Stage One, though Takasuka failed the Spider Walk and Edelmann timed out on the Wall Lift, so that's as far as they go. At the end of the list, I will list every competitor who will be risking their streaks by participating in SASUKE 41, so minor spoilers for some competitors who are returning for SASUKE 41 if you don't wanna see until the tournament airs.
