This thread is clearly escalating and having it become an argument is not beneficial to the end goal.
Everyone is entitled to their feelings, and there is no reason for everyone to jump at Arsenette.
Once there is a new mod team in place, that team can discuss if any changes need to be made and what those are. I will be contactable by the new staff if they have any questions about previous moderation items, site tools, etc, but past that I do not plan on being involved in any of the day-to-day moderation. The extent of my presence would be doing any of the top-level layout changes if they're needed, such as adding new tournament boards when announced, or linking in the livestream feed if that is something that returns - and even those can be transferred over to others once a new team has settled in.
I asked for input because with the closure being a mistake and causing stress, I'd at least like to see things get on a track that will make the active users happy to try and minimize future issues. If things are passed off to a new team improperly then there may just be another mess again in the future.
I have never claimed to own SMF. I did post the announcement but that was not something that I wrote nor something that I decided on my own to do, nor did I even initiate the discussions to do so. This was discussed for a long time beforehand, and other staff were also confident in the decision at the time. Saying that everything is a move that I made on my own is simply not true, however with the other staff now gone I can accept all of that criticism coming my way.
I am more than willing to elaborate further on any specific questions regarding to the lead-up to the announcement should anyone want that. As far as other comments directed my way, someone saying that something was my decision or opinion does not make it so, and I am more than willing to respond to anything in that vain as well. But ultimately from here the goal is to transition in a new staff team, and that will be what I am focusing on.
