Yo, Im new to the forums but I have been a Sasuke enthusiast for a while now. In fact I love the show so much that I plan on a trip to Japan to join Sasuke 23 or 24. I am a diver in the U.S. navy so transportation and funding is no problem. However, I would like to be somewhat prepared for the journey. Can anyone here help point me in the right direction as to the location, requirements etc. Any help would be appretiated

If you're going to go through with this... TRAIN HARD.
It aint an easy course, and don't get cocky.
While we're on this subject, I have a friend moving to Japan this year.
He loves NInja Warrior and he's going to Japan to be a minister.
From what I've heard, TBS likes peopel who have unique jobs.
I'm not aware of a minister ever attempting the course.. lol.
So I think he has a good chance of making it. Of course he'd get owned by the course but it'd still be awesome.
And if he gets on I might have to arrange a trip to Japan so I can get in and watch Sasuke.
If he was in his prime I bet he could've gotten to the cliff-hagner, but he's completely out of shape from when he was in college.

Special forces is a unique job that I think TBS would go for. They accepted SSA Michael Milner (Army) in Sasuke 20 and Travis Schraeder (also a U.S. Navy Diver) in Sasuke 4 & 5.

I saw that. I also saw a US marine in suasuke 18, but the fact that they didnt show his run suggests he didnt do so well...

They showed his run in the TBS broadcast and G4 skipped it. I guess they didn't want to show Zach Selwyn he lost 50 yen

They showed his run in the TBS broadcast and G4 skipped it. I guess they didn't want to show Zach Selwyn he lost 50 yen They showed him briefly failing the Jumping Spider on the G4 Special "Inside Ninja Warrior". If you didn't remember him from the Ninja Warrior 18 preview special or the TBS broadcast, you probably wouldn't know it was him.

I rembember seeing him on an 18 fast-foward, but I don't remember seeing him in Inside Ninja Warrior except for the interview where he didn't even know how much 50 yen was.

I don't know how much that is either.
But that's like nothing right?
Wouldn't that translate to like... a penny? XD

50 yen would be somewhere between 45 and 50 cents. So basicly he bet less than a dollar, he put a good ammount considering how he did.

Rider, that sounds wrong.
Isn't Sasuke like 2 million yen? That only translates to 13,000. Or whatever it is.

Rider is right.. (gasp) 50 yen is under 50 cents What I usually did was move the decimal point over by 2.. so 2 mill would be like 20k (of course minus exchange so it's closer to your 13k number)..
