So, you all know I'm working on my video, so I need to know your opinion, and especially David's, since he was both chosen, and personally worked with the G4 people.
Do you think 'Flavor' is good for the entry video, or just straight up quality/ability?

It's a mixof both really. If you put in alot of face/flashy stuff without alot of Q/A, people don't think you can do the course (much like what people thought about Luci). Of course, too much Q/A and no personality and most people think you've got none. Seeing how this is going to be picked by G4 and not the fans, it's hard to say what they are going to be looking for without knowing who is picking. So I'd go for about 75-80% ability with some personality/ flashy crap thrown in. Just remember 2 things. 1)Be yourself. I know it's G4, but don't try to be something you're not just to please them. 2)Figure out what it is about yourself that would make you stand out from the crowd. Find your strength and play on it, just don't blow it out of proportion.

Depends what you mean by flavour. If you mean flashy stuff, tricks and flips etc, then not very important at all. I honestly think people will choose genuine Sasuke-related ability over this, and G4 have already proved they will with David.
If you mean personality, style, relatability, that sort of thing, then I think that's quite important. It's not just about whether you can do well on the course, it's about being on TV and people wanting to watch you. They want someone charismatic who people will get behind, not just some faceless silent monster-athlete. In fact, I'd argue that ability is less important to TBS than it is to G4, considering they've accepted from overseas in the past.
Obviously, though, first and foremost you need the skills.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else is saying. Of course the first goal of the video is to show your skills. They also want someone who can speak clearly for the interviews and whatnot. As far as personallity, I've noticed that they tend to pick the easy going nice-guy type rather than the in-your-face big personallity types.
They do like a little flash though. Both G4 and TBS asked me to do a backflips at least once and I'm like "I suck at flips, but you can film me climbing that building right there!" heh (they actually shot some footage of me climbing up the side of a building in my drss clothers after dinner, but they didn't end up using it)
So yeah anyway...Don't try to act, just be yourself, but show the best of yourself.

Lol, I had already knew to use mostly skill/ability, but I didn't word it as well as I should have. My main question was whether I should use 90% skill/ability, and 10% flash/character, or 100% skill/ability. But that really answered my question guys, thanks SHould have my test video up soon!

Also it says right on the entry page: "Also, prove you have the on-screen charisma to stand out from the hundreds of other potential contestants."
So it's probably quite important.
