if kanzenseiha was achieved, do you think they'd show the smoke being released? Would they show the smoke from Nagano winning (before they showed the spider climb? Or Akiyama?
something like in the 22 commerical

This is why you should never watch the trailer if you can help it.

Never give away for free what you need a good TV rating for.

Say for example someone wins in 23 I think they would perhaps just tease the same way as in 22 and just show someone climbing it but not if they win or not - its your job to watch and see if they do that.

Perhaps ube or Arsenette can confirm this but I once heard when sasuke 17 was airing in Japan the trailer blatently showed Nagano climbing the tower and winning or something, it definatly showed someone had won apparently.

Who knows, TBS never fail to surprise me. For 22 they blatantly hinted that there was a winner only to give us a grant bait-and-switch that fooled most of us hook line and sinker.
(Um. Enough with the fishing metaphors.)

I remember reading from Ube that for 17 they pretty much said that someone was going to win by giving not so subtle hints throughout the broadcast. The whole "final review" before Nagano's run didn't help either with hinting that something huge was going to happen. I don't remember him saying anything about trailers or previews though.

Oh my, Sasuke 17 trailer/oreview was so blatant. They told you someone was going to win beforehand and showed a person achieving total victory without actually saying the person's name. I can't recall if a name was given but I remember the announcer saying finaly after 7 years, we have a new champion or st tothat degree. I love #17 and Nagano's win, but that trailer really tarnished it for me.

Its like Yuuji in 22 yeah it was a cool trailer seeing someone climbing the new final stage and the whole new hero thing but his stage 3 clear would have made a much bigger impact to us as viewers by not spoiling.
I think with respect to those 4 people we all would probably not expect any of them to clear and reach the final since all the favorites were out. Although I could sort of see why they did this time from a ratings point of view especially after the events of 19 and 20.
But personally i'd have loved a total suprise, interestingly Levi told me that he and his group were NOT shocked by Yuujis run and actually expected him to piss stage 3 with no problems before he even stepped up as they Hung out with them before the tournament and knew how good he really was!
