I just got done watching the vid they posted on the Ninja Warrior main page from Fan Days. g4tv.com/ninjawarrior/index.htmlWTF?! We have all these people who have dedicated themselves to the single goal of just getting the opportunity to go to Japan. Ryan, Oti, Sam, and many others who bust their a** and spend their time and money just to go out to California to show that they have what it takes. Real fans of the show who sacrifice alot in their lives for Sasuke, but all we get is over 10 minutes of Olivia Munn humiliating her internet nay sayers (who the hell are these idiots anyways?). Way to go G4! Way to once again crap on the real fans to sate your own MASSIVELY OVERBLOWN egos. It's just more of the same and I personally have no interest in anything G4 does anymore. Even when they have the means in their hands to make it right, it's still all about them.

I wouldn't be surprised if all they taped was Ryoga and Oti. It shouldn't take THAT long to process the people who actually took this somewhat serious.

Preaching to the choir here. Unfortunately what sucks is that unless they change their policy (meaning M9) we are stuck with G4 calling the shots for the Americans. That's the only reason why I keep cheering on our fellow American competitors. We have to jump through more hoops than anyone else to get on the damn show. No other country is as anal about entries. One pain in the arse moment is the fact that we know Kevin is going back. That's one less person that gets to go thanks to him.

What are the odds G4 checks their suggestion forum?

I never got an answer back from any of the questions or suggestions I sent in.
What I want to know is this. Are the people they show as Olivia's internet "nay-sayers" real or just G4 staffers and interns posing in a sad attempt to mimic us? I'd bet the latter.

Before I write down the super crotchedy post, I will like to remind everyone that they are not obligated to do a single thing related to G4, Ninja Warrior or Sasuke. This includes watching.

So you're saying I should just give up watching Sasuke and anything related to it?

I think it you really want them to change how they do Ninja Warrior get everyone to stop watching so G4 has to listen to its audience.
That being said, I have no problem with these guys making a little video and actually getting some time in front of the camera to do what we all love. Doing nothing but behind-the-scenes work sucks when you've got a bitchin obstacle course right in front of you. Let 'em have some fun!
I do hope we get to see some runs from the fans on the web at some point, but no one should hold their breath for it.

I doubt we could do that, though. It's like when we all wanted to vote on the ANC videos based on skill, not flips and whatnot. We did that, sure, but there are thousands of people out there who still voted based on useless stunts. Most of those same people probably watch Ninja Warrior thinking, "Wow, Levi Mooburger is really cool! Hey, look at that Makata dude! He's really short but kicks a**, lol!" They're morons. They don't know how much G4 is messing up, nor do they care.
I was shown a ton, along with Ryoga, and I'M mad at G4. We were all supposed to be shown. That was the deal.

I think it you really want them to change how they do Ninja Warrior get everyone to stop watching so G4 has to listen to its audience. I stopped watching G4 aloooooooong time ago. They bought out TechTV (which I highly enjoyed) and gutted it to nothing. X-Play being the only show that survived (and nowhere as good as it used to be). Here's a comment one of the guys in my gaming clan made the other night. Yea, G4 is great. I love their shows like The Screensavers, Call for Help, etc. Don't you agree? Oh wait, that was TechTV. G4 ate them alive, ruined what shows they did keep and is clearly targeting a simpler, mainstream audience..
f### you G4 </drama>The only thing I bother to TiVo is the new NW episodes so I can get a translation on what I didn't understand was going on during Sasuke, like when Mark fell in 21. Or what I missed as TVAnts and LiveStation didn't broadcast for me and Keyhole was just a mess of pixels with audio. Of course, I'm going to start learning Japanese so I'll have one less reason to be reliant on G4. That being said, I have no problem with these guys making a little video and actually getting some time in front of the camera to do what we all love. Doing nothing but behind-the-scenes work sucks when you've got a bitchin obstacle course right in front of you. Let 'em have some fun! If they had just made it a "Staff runs the course" kind of thing, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. But I find it insulting to say they are "internet critics" if they aren't. Why play it off as something that it isn't? Of course, there's no proof that they aren't who they say, but the last guy who ran (around the obstacles and still fell trying to get on the stairs) looks like someone who was on X-Play a few times to me. And even if they aren't staffers, its pretty obvious the only reason they were invited out was just to make them look bad, not because they are fans. Hope Olivia enjoyed her evilgasmn. I do hope we get to see some runs from the fans on the web at some point, but no one should hold their breath for it. And here I thought that it being "Fans Day" was the whole point of it. The video they put up, is just another way to mock us IMO. Let's hope they show some actual fans run it next time. I truely want to like G4 and NW, but when they go out of their way to be so insulting to the fans, it's not going to happen.

Same here. I've got sentence structure and basic grammar down. Now I need the verbs and nouns. Besides cat. I know cat.

Even if we got enough people to boycott Ninja Warrior, all that would do is make G4 cancel broadcasting NW. They've made it clear that ratings dictate what they do and not what the fans want. The only reason that Ninja Warrior is still on the air is that SASUKE is amazing and is able to get fans hooked on the first watch. If the ratings slipped, then no NW.

If Ninja Warrior were canceled, Americans could apply to TBS directly.
So, there are positives.

That may be one positive, but good luck in trying to get people interested in it when they can't watch it on TV, let alone finding a new network willing to broadcast it.

I watched the video with the impression of "Oh, they're just overreacting, it's not that bad". I was DEAD wrong. Somebody needs to take the Sasuke license from G4.

If G4 dropped Ninja Warrior I think Spike, Versus, or Fuel would pick it up. Those channels cater close to G4's type of demographic.

ESPN did worse with Viking cutting half the competition and dubbing right over the entire competition so you didn't even hear the Japanese (or any of the interviews really). I think that's why I decided on the DVD route. That way I can see it the way TBS has it and just call it a day. The likelihood is soooooo unrealistic of G4 changing their ways. They messed up 22 episodes and sold THAT to 15 other countries. There's no way they'd change formats now.

Imagine how popular Sasuke would be if 15 other countries bought Ninja Warrior. XD
