Well TV ants is now just being a pain in the a** for me ive tried loads of new proxys and every single time i turn it on it does not load a channel list it cannot find any and if i try opening a channel it just says preparing channel or done and stays on the please wait buffering screen forever, ive messed about with security and total control in properties but still nothing it just seems like its not connecting to anything at all. Any ideas?

It does take a while to open but once it does it does. I have noticed that when it's buffering I open up the window where I did the search and it shows how far into the buffer it is. Outside of that I can't help you. I managed to get it open pretty fast and considering I'm not that good with computers.. it shouldn't be that difficult. Maybe a firewall problem?

Firewalls & Virus Scanners will affect connectivity. You need to make sure that you're allowing both in-bound and out-bound connections from the TVants program, as well as making sure that TVants is a program that you have deemed friendly in the firewall & virus scanner settings.
Also, if you have access to do it, you could try opening up the required ports (i believe 16800 or 16900 for TVants) in your router and firewall, allowing the connection.
If that doesn't help, then I really don't know what you could do, I'm not entirely certain on how to set it up via proxy.

Has anyone had ANY problems with malware or viruses using any of these programs. Seeing as Sasuke's on a weekend, I want to try and watch it live. I am extremely nervous about downloading anything to my computer and I don't want any problems. I'm one of those people that when malware is detected, I go into a stroke-induced window-closing psychotic frenzy. (Well not quite, but close... )

TVAnts has no virus or malware problems when downlaoding or using, I imagine the same for Keyhole and UStream definitely has no problems, outside of few seconds lag. Long story short -- no stroke-induced-window-closing-psychotic-frenzy for you when attempting these. As long as you use the links in the How to Watch thread of course

WE NEED CONFIRMATION.
NTV ISN'T STREAMING TBS AT THE MOMENT. SCNOI, CHIEF and MYSELF HAVE SEEN THIS. IT SEEMS TO BE PLAYING A RECORDED VIDEO
PLEASE TUNE INTO YOUR TVANTS IN FEW MOMENTS OR DAYS TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE STREAM IS UP OR NOT.

Well, tomorrow's Sunday. Someone could easily multi-stream and figure out where everything is.

As it stands right now the way the channels are labeled:
TV ASAHI is TV Asahi. TV FUJI is Fuji TV. TV TOKYO is actually NTV. TBS is TV Tokyo. One NTV is down. This is the one that obakemono gave us the URL for. The other is replaying an NTV news clip. NNN, which you can see in the left corner is the network news used by NTV affiliates. The difference between the two NTVs (aside from the url) is that the one that isn't the mislabeled TBS stream has Nippon Television Network under author information.
Another thing, it's Sunday afternoon here. It's better to check the streams when it's evening in Japan. It's more relevant to what you want and anyway most channels switch over to local programming or reruns weekend afternoons which makes it harder to verify what you're watching against TV schedules.

It's currently 9pm JST on Sunday, and the stream is down. Hopefully it's just a one off failure and they don't pull it on Sundays or something.
EDIT: Actually it's not down, it's just running really really slowly, but what it's showing isn't live.

This stream is now working, despite the message on the front page saying it's not, it's got TBS and it's live. Quality is alright, worse than TVAnts, but still a million times better than Keyhole. It's not working very well for me at the moment though, takes a long time to buffer and then has to repeat this every 30 seconds or so.

The Freshverse TBS stream is now working pretty much perfectly for me.
scnoi posted codes on the second page of this thread if anyone wants to try it out.

The Freshverse TBS stream is now working pretty much perfectly for me. scnoi posted codes on the second page of this thread if anyone wants to try it out. I'm now getting the problem you had earlier, it buffers like every 30 seconds. It's definitely TBS and live. On the region list, which TBS stream do you use?

The one on the left. I'm currently using a better and more reliable internet connection, and since then it's stopped constantly buffering.

I'm hoping when it's time to use it people have different options or at least have it set that it works the first time around. I remember a bunch of people using KeyHole because they were afraid of TVAnts and they lost the signal when the server was bombarded. That totally sucks and hope that doesn't happen again. It's cool we have 2 options to use.

You probably know about this, but: I often watch live cycling races on JustinTV (http://www.justin.tv/). I don't know how these things work, but it that a possiblilty?

It's cool we have 2 options to use. I currently have 4 working options, lol. I'd advise everyone to try out Freshverse, (check first post) if it works on your connection then it's another good option with Livestation-esque picture quality.

I noticed that Livestation (http://www.livestation.com) has two user-contributed listings for Tokyo Broadcasting System (not including the one for TBS News). Here are the URL's for both: www.livestation.com/account/streams/300594-tbs_japanwww.livestation.com/account/streams/3581202-tbsThe idea of using these links is to download the Livestation software first, sign up for a free account, and then click on 'Add to my player' option on the right-hand side so that it will appear on your Livestation software. I don't know if either are working at the moment, but it's nice to know that there are two streams you can check.
