So TBS have released this video along with another a day later documenting an audition process, seemingly a separate one from the trials, for the individuals vouched for by competitors. It comprises of a Quad Steps and Dragon Glider attempt, alongside a push-up contest. Does this mean that said competitors are exempt from the trials and instead are being selected through a less scrutinous process due to being vouched for by prolific competitors?
Video down below. Also, I find it hilarious how Shinya Iwasaki is just doing the whole course with a weight vest; dude is an absolute machine.

Maybe it's like the Bug in MIKI festival that Yuuji qualified for 21 through. A separate event to find new blood for the show. Though can they stop banking on Quad Steps and Dragon Glider for qualifying? Does it really have to be so samey like that?

Eh, it’s not that bad purely knowing that these guys are capable of so much more hence they’ve been vouched for by champions and other prolific competitors. If it was for random competitors and clearing said course would give them a good chance of getting on the show then yeah I agree that would suck as it would just result in more fodder.

I can't explain it but I can tell you that if Shinya Iwasaki gets his chance to compete this year, he's gonna be scary.

I can't explain it but I can tell you that if Shinya Iwasaki gets his chance to compete this year, he's gonna be scary. If he can get past Stage 1 then it'll honestly be anyone's guess as to how far he goes. Stage 1 is always the biggest hurdle behind a load of these freaks of nature's success because they spend most of their time training upper body for the later stages, and also it's the easiest stage to make fatal mistakes on as it's much more agility based. I wouldn't be surprised if he fails Stage 1 given that he hasn't had the experience of performing under pressure despite training for 10+ years and his forte is Stage 3, but I would be pissed if that happens purely because of how his potential otherwise effectively knows no bounds. I mean everyone goes on about how strong Yusuke is, this guy literally DOUBLED Yusuke's record on the monkey bars (he did 800 metres I think lol).
