So Uh...What did you think of Yamada's Run?

It was an embarrassment. Obviously a fluke when that stuff happens (like Akiyama back in the day). But you hate to see it. What really made it an embarrassment was how Yamada kept going then failed the rolling hill afterwards. Like dude, stop making it about yourself.

The rain caused the first slip and at the very least didn't help the second. Also it was the most straightforward way for him to get off the course dry in that situation.

Takechi from the Exile Tribe (guy who did the wing slider save) failed it on a dry step, that was worse imo
And I'll give credit for Yamada doing what he did, aside from what was mentioned, that was one really awkward moment after he slipped that was thankfully avoided by something that at least both the people there and chat enjoyed for a bit

Quad Steps slip isn't a new thing, I think some other competitors also had it during the wet runs.

It's Yamada. Early fails aren't that surprising from him anymore. Though yeah, it was kind of ehh.

Thanks to Yamada and Takechi, we get to keep it. I was wondering if Yamada would EVER do this. He did it. And Shingo was like... eh!?

I was laughing crazily because Yamada 100% deserved to fail the first obstacle for even making a stupid mistake to compete again this year, when he's far too old now and has essentially zero chance of clearing the 1st Stage. I hope this teaches him a lesson to never show his face on the course ever again. If he returns once more for the 40th anniversary tournament, I would give him #1 like when Akiyama received it in SASUKE 20.

Not everyone needs to be hyper-serious final stage contenders.
