Yeah I was a bit disappointed that they pushed Ninjafest an entire month to show 5 minutes of Santa Monica..

I doubt they will. From what I caught, I saw a quick glimpse of when Badalight and I were standing in line (The shot was too fast to see who else was there), and then they showed my recovery roll from the end of the Jumping Spider... *sigh* I wanted to see some full runs... Hah hah, I wish. Did they edit me into the broadcast? XD I wasn't there, I think you mean Oti or Blind or someone. Heh.

They have to show our runs. They wouldn't record them all for nothing.

.. I wouldn't count on it.. unless they do something at the end.. I don't expect much at all. And yes.. I've seen 10 hours of an event recorded for almost no airtime.. thus is television. SUCKS big time because I really wanted to see you guys.. which is why I was HOPING it was it's own show.. even tucked in the middle of AOTS..

I truly wished they would have done their own full episode or 2 of it.
Make it Course-Style, with the obstacle icons on the side, and a count-down timer along the side. Even if they couldn't show face pictures, at least show names and minor descriptions... I mean they have way too much footage to just throw it down the toilet.
I'm gonna post this on the G4 forums and see what they say.

As I've already said, I very much doubt that will be the case. Episode 4 will be half stage one and then finish off stage two quickly, episode 5 will be stage three and final. Seems like it! That's a relief.. because the alternative would have suuuuuuuuuuuuucked..

That was utterly annoying after all the "watch yourself on June 21st" nonsense.. /sigh Outside of that.. it was typical G4 broadcast. I swear they rehashed more than usual.. no atmosphere whatsoever.. I totally miss the real broadcast with the drama. No wonder a lot of people didn't care for the end. G4's broadcast did almost nothing to entice you to continue watching for more since you didn't feel a connection to the competitors at all.

They could have done more with the "Ninja Killer" obstacle course than rehashing Olivia falling off the Sextuple Steps for the 1st 15 minutes of the special. Jesus Christ, I've never seen the same 2 camera angles so overused to milk such an underwhelming story. That said, I did like the segments with Levi + The All-Stars. And if G4 would have had the budget, I would have liked to see them travel to Campbell's home town and get some training footage of him there instead of using the lo-res submission video.

Gah didn't realize I didn't post this here (from the G4 site ) The positive. I didn't hate Olivia.. granted she showboated like crazy and even the announcer was basically saying "I get it.. but everyone else is here for the timed course.. move it lady.." I did get why she was ecstatic. Given the run up with the videos of her getting uber nervous - I was more than prepared for her to totally melt down after the steps. (Given that in the original broadcast commercial it showed her at the circle hammer drinking septic sludge). Just no one else besides us knew she was there for 1 obstacle. That said.. she was remarkably subdued and if I didn't know better.. she totally learned from our comments about her behavior in Sasuke 21. I mean for once.. (and many MANY times after) she PRONOUNCED SASUKE RIGHT.. and for those at home.. people knew that the SHOW is Ninja Warrior but the event they are competing in is SASUKE. So I was very happy to see and hear that. I think they said Sasuke more times in the history of Ninja Warrior.. That makes me all fuzzy inside P.S. I was dying when she started the show pronouncing Sasuke correctly then saying "Please be nice".. I swear she was talking to me The Pre show was fabulous. Being an Allstar fan I was happy to see new footage that wasn't shown in the original broadcast or the 1 hour preview called Navi. I was ecstatic to see a Shingo Fluffpiece. Granted it was too long for some viewers (and I'm not even a big Levi fan).. I was happy to see Shingo and Takeda (and I was so right about the bed hair.. dude didn't get any sleep) and Nagano on the boat. Also enjoyed the stories of the ANC people going. The negatives. Given the 1 month delay to add Santa Monica it was a shame to see basically nothing of it (and the part that was shown was contrived to think it happened before Sasuke 22). See the other thread about requesting to see more clips of it on it's own show or even partial segments on upcoming AOTS shows so people that flew the distance can see their runs (some for the first time since they didn't have time to get a camcorder) on their TV's with their families at home. The broadcast itself - It was a typical G4 broadcast to me. No surprises so I didn't have to throw anything to the TV I swear they rehashed more than usual.. no atmosphere whatsoever.. I totally miss the real broadcast - uncut so you feel the drama. No wonder a lot of people didn't care for the end. G4's broadcast did almost nothing to entice you to continue watching for more since you didn't feel a connection to the competitors at all. Given the constraints of the format they invented and the constant mispronunciations by voice actor Dave Wittenberg (shoot the director not the talent.. they are being told what to say.. at least I hope..) which are escalating with each episode and never corrected from the 22 episodes so far.. it's impossible that I'd find the actual broadcast of any Sasuke the least enjoyable given the fact that the original TBS broadcast (which is rerun successfully with just subtitles by JET TV in Taiwan) is a far superior format allowing full emersion in Sasuke as it was intended. Overall - the broadcast sucked.. C- (given a higher rating because it is subtitled) Pre and Post shows - B (given that the footage that caused the delay to a 3 month wait from the original broadcast was not what was promised). As usual ya'll can read my blog (now that it's not considered spoilers) to see how much you actually missed from the broadcast - ramblingrican.blogspot.com/2009/04/sasuke-22-spoilerific-review-part-1.html

I had a conversation with the Webmaster over the last couple days through e-mail asking about my clip. Just as an FYI, here's what we discussed. -------------------- uNCLEsAM098-------------------- Hi there! My name is Christopher Christensen, and I was one of your participants in the Ninjafest 4 run in Santa Monica. I flew out from Colorado strictly for that event, and it was totally worth it, thank you! But my question to you is this: I flew out there because I am working on an entry video for the next ANC competition, and I beat the Ninja Killer obstacle. All 5 obstacles in 36 seconds. I was wondering if there was a way I could have a copy of the footage of my run to use in my entry video, in case I am not shown on TV for Ninjafest 4? Thank you for your time! -Chris Christensen -------------------- G4Webmaster-------------------- Do you remember what number you were? And are you totally sure that they were filming while you ran? They didn’t roll tape on everyone... Let me know and I’ll see what I can do – no promises though, it might be tough to track down your specific footage. FYI, the TV-special that includes some of the footage from that day airs this Sunday night on G4 -------------------- uNCLEsAM098-------------------- Hello again! Chris Christensen here. Last time I e-mailed you, I was asking for whether or not I could have the footage from my Ninjafest 4 run, and you had asked if I knew whether or not my run had been recorded. Well, I just watched the Ninjafest 4 blip, and I now know I was! A small half-second of my run was shown, as I recognized my face (And run) from the end of the Jumping Spider, as I had recovered from a drop by rolling at the end. Does that make sense? :/ Either way, I know now that my run was indeed recorded and slightly aired. Is there any chance I can get my run as a video file so I can use it in my ANC entry video? Thanks again! -Christopher Christensen from Colorado Springs, CO -------------------- G4Webmaster-------------------- After a bit of digging I’ve come to the realization that there is no reasonable way for us to track down that footage and get it to you. So sorry. Good luck with the next ANC (which should be accepting videos soon). --------------------------------------------------------------------- The important part is in the last paragraph: "(Which should be accepting videos soon). That should mean... maybe a month to work on videos? Either way... I need to start getting it as ready as possible. Need to work flips for my video... Need to beat my Salmon Ladder... Need footage of me beating the obstacles... So little to do! So much time! (Scratch that... reverse it...) Nonetheless, it's time to buckle down and get my video down. Ninjafest 4 or not.

I thought we're still waiting to hear if there's even going to be a Sasuke 23?
