Looks like in this advert they show a interesting shot of stage 3. Looks like the sidewinder now rotates.

All the budget keeps going into the motorized obstacles. The Sidewinder is now motorized. Like seriously, you could have used that money for something brand new instead of altering an obstacle from 38 and wasting money on the mechanical side of things.

I think you're greatly overestimating the cost of using motors that TBS fab shop already has (they've shown this many times on Banzuke) versus designing and fabricating something new. This was definitely the budget choice, and makes sense on the season with the tightest budget ever

Wouldn't this actually make the obstacle easier?

I feel like jumping across the poles isn't as easy when they're spinning.

But they wouldn’t have to move to the other side.

I think all in all it's just different, not inherently easier or harder. It's easier in that as fallingrain mentioned they don't have to edge their body around the poles, but it's harder because they have to make sure they're at the exact right angle before they jump, otherwise they might miss. Like we've seen competitors hesitate before a jump which could be costly if it means their body isn't directly facing the next pole.
Also, on the subject of budget, the entire reason why they got rid of the Rope+Climbing obstacle combo after the Warped Wall was because the Dragon Glider took up too much space and they didn't want to extend the course. Clearly extending the course for some reason seems to be quite expensive, yet they've added the Double Warped Wall which surely takes up more space given that the rest of the course is virtually identical? I don't know why making the course longer is costly exactly but that's just the vibe I got from the whole Sasuke 35 revamp.
Also, in the same video snippet, we get a better look at the third obstacle. I'm now pretty sure it's the Falling Shelves or a similar obstacle. I think it's much better placed than the Planet Bridge as it's much more of a grip drainer; the Planet Bridge was mainly triceps and core whereas everything else was back, biceps and grip strength. So not only was it far too easy, it also wasn't even really a strength drainer either. By comparison, I think this new obstacle is more directly failable and even if you pass it'll still affect your performance on the CHD and VLK.
