This has potential. They used some wrestlers in the NBC version and Hulk Hogan was an interesting host. It really depends on how they use the WWE stars as gladiators. The gladiators were always the highlight of the show for me.
My biggest issue with American Gladiators in the past was that most of the competitors just weren't that impressive. There were a couple standouts but that was more of the exception. But a lot of it. I say as looking back on the original and remake. If they continue with the eliminator, it needs to be more challenging. There's going to be a sizable overlap of those who watch Ninja Warrior. They can't have some wimpy looking eliminator. The old ones were relics of the past.
Part of me wished they waited a few years until Gable Steveson was established in the WWE. Having an Olympic gold medalist as a gladiator would have been awesome.
