Wow, what a finish. Honestly what a great season. Let's hope they keep this pace for Season 14.

Very sad that this thread is near empty. {Spoiler}Anyway kudos to the kid Kaden Lebsack, making stage 4 at the age of just 15. Shame he didn't know how to use his feet at all on the rope or he would have gotten Kanzenseiha. Also funny how little screentime he got in qualifying, the editing team clearly didn't expect him to even pass stage 1 on Vegas. PS: Is it just me or are ANW's obstacles a bit monotonous and boring? Everything on stage 2 and 3 kinda feels the exact same. ATS have got a long way to go before they match TBS for creativity.

A stage 4 attempt that was effectively kept a secret. A non-super obvious winner. I thought from the attention in earlier episodes the winner would have been between Vance and Joe.
This has been my favorite Vegas course in years. I still have my reservations of the blind grab. And bringing in the teens was a smart idea. I've said it for the past few years when I saw ANW jr. The teens are good and deserve the challenge.

They did spoil that Walker would at least make it up Cat Grab in the promo at the end of Night 2. His was the only shot from Stage 3 in that promo, so I sort of thought he would make it to Stage 4 especially with the focus on him this season.

I agree, they actually skipped Kaden's Stage One too, which is really weird. Maybe they were trying to make it less obvious? The only real hint that he'd make it through was him going last in Stage Two and Three (and it seems he ran last in 3 at least in real life anyway). The only one they were pretty obvious about from the start with Vance - though even his hype could've been explained by his previous success in ANW Junior. So yeah, good on them for keeping the top four pretty well-hidden. Of course, part of it was that most of them weren't the ones you would expect! I do agree though; I liked the new obstacles, but the past couple of seasons the obstacles have started to sometimes blend into one in my mind. Not sure why, I think it's a lot of really tough upperbody stuff and it gets repetitive, but it's not too bad either. But I've felt the same about fundamentally different obstacles feeling similar. Also, nice to see people on here more seeming more positive about this Vegas Finals. I agree that it was a better one. I hope that translates to ratings and maybe I can even finally get my shot on the show..!

I hate to bring down the positivity here, but {Spoiler} someone ALREADY making it to the final stage after Kanzenseiha the last time ANW held the actual course... it's concerning. I could allow the Jumping Spider, Ult Cliff Hanger and other obstacles being reused after Isaac/Geoff's win, but keeping those 2 + Tire Run makes no actual sense. So many people have practiced those obstacles. So many people have those in their backyards. So after someone clears all four stages, and you bring them back... OF COURSE people are going to have an easier time. TBS can get away with it because it's known the budget isn't what it used to be. But NBC has no excuse to re-use these decade old obstacles after so many people have mastered them. It's time to update them (especially Jumping Spider/UCH). I can forgive something like the Double Dipper since it was just added prior to he who shall not be named's Kanzenseiha.

I hate to bring down the positivity here, but {Spoiler}{Spoiler} someone ALREADY making it to the final stage after Kanzenseiha the last time ANW held the actual course... it's concerning. I think the most telling part of this is how the final stage is completely unchanged once again. I think ANW definitely want a yearly champion, but it will backfire if they end up getting 2 like in ANW 7.

I'm not even sure the Jumping Spider or Ultimate Cliffhanger is the problem. Even though the Jumping Spider has been a part of stage 1 forever, it still knocked out a ton of people. It's just one of those obstacles that can trip up pretty much anyone. The UCH isn't exactly free either, as we've seen this past episode, but I also don't think it's meant to cause 90% of the fails like in SASUKE, so I'm okay with it. I think this stage 3 was only cleared because they kept too many obstacles from season 11, as well keeping the course only 7 obstacles long without any killer combos like the stage Joe had to go through in season 9.
Overall, this whole Vegas course seemed very balanced. Not one real killer like a Dragon Glider or Cliffhanger, just all the obstacles slowly chipping away at the field until the rope finally finished Kaden off. I'm not sure which approach to course design I prefer.
