I'm going list down the Sasuke runs that I think are one of the idiotic in terms of decision making. Let me know if you have some more 1-Yamada from Sasuke 9. Nervous about the Spider Walk, Yamada decided to add duct tape on his shoes to prevent slipping. But when he reaches the Spider Walk. You'd expect: That he would apply the spray or just attempt the Spider Walk immediately. Instead: He wastes about 20 seconds removing tape from his shoes and another 10 seconds applying the spray. As a result: He times out on the Wall Lift. 2-On the Rolling Hill, competitors are not allowed to jump from the top. Shingo tried to jump from the top barrel but came up short. Takeda is the next to run. You'd expect: That Takeda would not repeat Shingo's mistake, and jump from the lower barrel. Instead: He literally tries to jump from the top, even further than Shingo did. As a result: He comes up short from the dismount. To make matters worse:Shingo and Nagano advised him not to do it. 3-In Sasuke 22, Shingo was having a decent run on the first four obstacles on Stage One and even cleared the main part of the Half-Pipe Attack, but the path to the Warped Wall was shortened. You'd expect: That Shingo would approach the path slowly. Instead: He rushes and fails between obstacles, much to the frustration of the other All-Stars.

Why did Yamada try to take of the tape exactly?Wasn't the point to help him on the Spider Walk?

Yamada put the sticky tape on his shoes, the point being that he'd take the tape off and the stick would still remain on his shoes thus helping him on the Spider Walk. This backfired because it took him 17 seconds to take the tape off before the obstacle resulting in his time out.
Anyway, some more idiotic moments for y'all:
- Hiroyuki Asaoka's Jump Hang failure in Sasuke 6: he literally just walked on the trampoline without doing the run up and got about a tenth of the distance he needed.
- Naoya Tajima in SASUKE 24: this was probably more down to nerves than anything but yeah.... even his friends on the sidelines laughed at him when he failed lol. I'm also convinced this embarrassment is why he quit Sasuke.
- Quite a few Shingo fails come to mind.....

I believe that I've got many idiotic failures to share:
1. Kazuhiko Wagatsuma in 5, for completely mis-hitting the trampoline of the Jump Hang in it's first appearance and ending up diving straight into the pond in which he is the only person ever to fail in this fashion and looked hilarious as well.
2. Masaharu Yanagawa in 7, for accidentally rolling the log backwards and sending it down the Barrel Climb as he is the only person ever to do is and could've even got hurt as well.
3. Toshio Sakata in 15, which I also consider to be the most hilarious ever fail in the history of SASUKE as he starts to run up and then jumps straight into the water at the very beginning of the course and whether or not he did that on purpose given the age of 63, it got me and my parents laughing so much.
4. Kota Honma in 17, for trying to rush the Spider Walk at the fastest pace than anybody else, probably to save time for clearing Stage 2 but instead resulted in his foot slipping and tumbling into the water, although it did look funny as well.
5. Shingo Yamamoto in 22, I have to agree that this was definitely the most stupidest fail ever as he did not fail and obstacle and I can't believe that he did not know before his that run, that the slope was positioned at an upright angle before the Warped Wall.
6. Toshihiro Takeda in 31, although I agree with this one as well, I am definitely ranking his and Shingo's failures to be the most shocking of the whole tournament as for the first time ever in their career, they failed the first obstacle on Stage 1 and being only the second and third All-Stars to do so. It's understandable why Shingo tried to jump from the top of the Rolling Hill as in the first four tournaments, he always did that on the old Rapid Descent obstacle and cleared successfully. However, Takeda stupidly tries to be clever and do the same exact same thing to teach Shingo a lesson, despite warnings from him and Nagano not to do it and ends up falling even shorter.
7. Kenji Darvish in 33, for slipping off the railings at the very top of the Lumberjack Climb just as he was about to pull himself up and clear the 1st Stage, but instead got the whole audience shocked of their lives for failing in a way that nobody else ever did before and even though I don't find that failure heartbreaking, it's still quite surprising.
8. Shunsuke Nagasaki in 35, for being only the second person to ever fail the Spider Drop, right after Keitaro did the same thing when trying to rush but in Shunsuke's case, he started slowly to avoid failing again like in 34 but as soon as he reaches the Drop section, he spreads his legs at a snail's pace and doesn't even look like he's trying to dismount as if he's just giving up and falling into the water.
9. He-who-shall-not-be-named in 36, for being too overconfident and ending up sliding too far off the course from the Backstream, which luckily ruined his chance of tying Takeda's record for most consecutive Stage 3 appearances, which I hope that Jun Sato finally matches in 38.
10. And most recently in 37, Ryo Matachi for that Fish Bone Kai failure as he tried to do something that nobody else ever did which was run across at full speed, when he knew he was going to screw up and I certainly did not find that failure sad and shocking as I predicted that he would fail Stage 1 but not this early.

I'd say Yuuji on Stage 3 in Sasuke 37 was pretty reckless. He had a genuine shot of making the Final Stage, 10 tournaments after his 2nd total victory, but rushed the start of the Pipe Slider, made a silly mistake, and fell right in.

Pretty much all of Shunsuke’s failures from 34 onwards have been idiotic and that’s why I think he’s not actually declining physically but it’s more a mental blockade/his head’s just not focused. In 34 he recklessly jumped on to the spider walk without mounting one foot at a time, 35 has already been described above, 36 he basically just let go of the Dragon Glider several meters too early it wasn’t even close, and in 37 he starts the Fish Bone and is looking good then just gives up half way through and unsurprisingly gets knocked off.
I disagree with Yuuji in 37. It’s actually not that easy to release your entire weight on to the bar evenly without there being some bias on one side, and unfortunately Yuuji just let his body sway too far on the left and the bar came off. Compare that to Tajima’s fail (both were shock fails on the last Stage 3 obstacle), where he literally just forgot about a function of the obstacle that he would’ve been shown 5 minutes beforehand by a tester given that he was the first to attempt the stage. That I think is reckless, though even in Tajima’s case I would cut him some slack because he was probably anxious not to fail at the last hurdle, which ironically ended up being his downfall.

Am I the only one who remembers the pants guy from Sasuke 19? That was the funniest fail ever, since the cameraman joined him in the water
