How far do you think Akiyama would have went in Stage Three if he beat the Metal Spin? I think he might go deep, but fail the Pipe Slider jump since it's further than in Sasuke 4 and 12. Let me know what you think.

Jumping Bars fail with a small chance of a very serious accident for him.

Well there's no guarantee he would've beat Stage 2 if he'd passed the Metal Spin as he would've only had about 10 seconds left if he had passed the obstacle.
If he did make Stage 3 though I agree with zoran. He's shown to have made it past the big killers like the Body Prop and Cliffhanger, but I think his height and poor eye sight will really hurt his chances on the Jumping Bars.

Akiyama is quite short, isn't he? In fact, I think he's the shortest of the All Stars. Indeed, Sasukepedia says he's 1cm shorter than Nagano. That surprised me the first time I learned that, because whenever I saw Akiyama running the course, I thought he looked big and bulky. In fact, I thought he looked like the wrong build to succeed at Sasuke (I felt the same way about Yamada -- he may have been a top competitor in Sasuke 4, but the course changed in ways that all but made his failure a certainty).
As for how Akiyama would have done in Sasuke 16... good question. I think the Arm Rings would have given him no trouble, and his experience with the Body Prop would have carried him through that obstacle without issue (his experience overcoming his height disadvantage). Few people fail at the Curtain Cling, so he would probably beat that too. But after that, I think his grip strength would be spent, which means a failure on the Cliffhanger.
If by some miracle he made it past the Cliffhanger, he would probably fail somewhere before the end of Stage 3. I just can't envision him making it all the way to Stage 4 -- if for no other reason than that no one seems to make it to Stage 4 after such a long gap.
Speaking of which... What IS the longest gap between Stage 4 appearances?

Nagano between Sasuke 17 and 23. Though Yuuji was one tiny mistake away, which would mean a difference from Sasuke 27 to 37.

BigT If you actually look at Akiyama’s whole body he’s actually quite slim but just with a stocky upper body. He only looks bulky because he’s like 5.8% body fat (not sure where I heard that from, but the point is he’s lean), so you just look way bigger because your waist is way slimmer (so your upper body looks much wider) and your muscles are way more defined.
He’s only 56kg which, even at 5’4, isn’t that much. Yamada I’m pretty sure got to like 90 at one point lol.
That’s why I’ve always thought he’s a real threat if he clears Stage 1. He’s got insane strength for his size so it’s not at all surprising he almost reached the Final again in Sasuke 12. I just think the new back half of the course in Sasuke 16 would’ve brought out the issues concerning his height, like the Devil Balanco and Jumping Bars. Sure, Nagano who’s basically the same height beat it eventually, but he failed both of those obstacles in tournaments prior, and he has no issues surrounding his eyesight either.
