Wow, that mugshot is so depressing. Obviously don't care for him anymore whatsoever but the way he looks now just shows how time has gone. Just a year (well, a couple months more) since we found out he won it all and idolized him. I don't care for him, but still just so depressing that he's already so out of shape and clearly checked out of life.

Even he knows it's game over so he isn't clean anymore. Keep us updated. Definitely something we won't forget in 2020.

I'd really take everything a random member says with a pinch of salt. It's easy for everyone now to come and say whatever they want about Drew and it'll be legit to people's minds because of what's happened. The general consensus has been that Drew has been cocky but respectful to productions and fans (even in the debacle that was SASUKE 31 he apologized for his outburst and kindly asked to return). I can only confirm his being and absolute and complete a*****e to the Sasuke production staff after his blatant disregard of rules during his Sasuke 31 CCH reverse technique clear. I was physically there to see the spectacle that followed and witnessed what caused the rerun. That's from the Sasuke 31 Navi blog. Spot the loonie.. I was in the stands and on tape showing my reaction to the eventual Morimoto clear. After he disregarded the rules and cleared he slowed down and looked around. He KNEW he broke the rules. We were all excited because at first we thought they okayed it (none of us knew at the time and at that moment we thought he cleared first) but immediately Inui chased him down after Drew waved off 2 of the production staff. Inui was the only one trying to talk to him in English when Drew in a hissy fit started screaming at Inui right in front of the crowd. It was uncomfortable to look at because THIS is the image of Americans that most people in Japan "expect". After a few minutes of back and forth Drew said he didn't know and that it was okay in the USA. Inui wasn't sure but thought it might be legit (even though it was a clear rule by the Safety Board to NOT do it that way in Japan). So in a huge huff Inui threw his hands in the air and waved him back to the beginning of the CCH. Everyone knew he was going to fail it and alas that is what he did. The look on Drew's face afterwards was one of someone who got caught. EVERYONE ignored him and he kept his mouth shut after that. In 32 he was downright a saint on set. Yes sir, no sir and kept to his own. He was idolized by the Shin Sedai as some sort of a god. He could do things they couldn't and they hounded me and my friends to translate for him even during my off times. So I had spent time I wasn't expecting with Drew wedged in what was supposed to be interviews for the book I was supposed to be writing. But Drew kept crashing all of them and they turned into "parties". So I have a different view of Drew based on my own experience and know him to be an opportunistic schmuck. But that is separate from his abilities and talent and chalked it up to the smugness and entitlement of the Millennial generation. Everyone here on SMF knows that. Here is the exchange as I saw it at the time. As for him "not knowing" the CCH rule was in place.. that's absolute bulls**t. I found that out after I talked to my friends who did the interpreting after the airing happened and I did my blog and my podcast with William at the time. I knew of the rule (and go into extreme detail when the rule came to be in the podcast) but I didn't know about what happened during the 31 walk through when it happened. He failed so we didn't discuss it as a group. However once that came out my friends sat me down and explained that I was incorrect that he didn't know. This exact question about the rule was dealt with that night during the walk through throughout a whole series of events. Anastase asked about this specifically since he thought it might be useful to turn around to see where he was jumping to when they got to the CCH. We had spent some time in the parking lot discussing it with Tada and Jin explaining the correct technique. So while Anastase was in front of the CCH he asked the question in French. It was translated into English to be translated to Japanese. Then the answer was given in Japanese then English then French. Then the issue was expounded back with another question in French to English back to Japanese with the answer in Japanese then English then French. This went on over a period of a few minutes during the walk through. I was in the stands with Tada so I didn't know. So yes he knew. I won't go back and retcon a blog post because that's my rule. That was my impression at the time and I still stand by that since that's what I thought until a month or so after the broadcast when my friends read what I wrote. We dealt with the aftermath in the intervening year. The problem which he told me sheepishly btw a couple days later from 31 was that he didn't train the "correct" way and so he did it "his way" since it was the only way he was going to clear it that year. When I saw him again in 32 during the massive downtime a year later because he knew I was upset about 31 and he was determined to be the first to clear it (regardless of country) and so he worked his a** off to clear it legit. By this point he had cleared the first staget wet and muscled a clear knowing he would not get a political rerun if it came to that. He knew he was on eggshells in 32 without knowing that I worked my a** off behind the scenes to get him back. You don't ban people for personality problems you ban them for infractions. I still go by this motto. So I went to bat for him based on merit alone and my conversations with Inui were intense. Drew was super nice to me in 32 when he found out the lengths I risked what was left of my reputation to get him back on the show. We all know how TBS took to that display. ********* As for the case itself we are up to 4 victims. 3 were underage and the last presumably was not but is claiming rape (worst being April's friend to boot). That's where we are right now. Cocky? Absolutely. Manipulative? Absolutely and that was known throughout ANW as gospel. Womanizer? Hell yes but that was considered April's problem and personal. Pedophile? No and that's why we are here. Shocking. I never thought I'd find somebody even remotely close to Yamada in terms of ego and rudeness, let alone on the same level as him. I think he may be even worse than Yamada, as he is also arrogant and manipulative. Well, it looks like Nagano made the correct decision to support Morimoto instead of an attention-seeking, woman-r***** pile of s***.

Man...that mugshot is just so depressing. That messy beard and dead stare in his eyes...it's just game over.
If 2020 was a face, that could be it.

Yamada has an ego as a competitor. I don't even see how that's remotely as bad as a child molester. Just spitballing here.

Yeah one of 3 photos. It's been a while since we've seen a new one (seems when he was moved to Essex they didn't update the photos but Salem sure does it. Salem for those unfamiliar is way south of New Jersey (ironically closer to me) and bordering Delaware (via bridge since NJ at that point is a peninsula). He just looks like he's dead inside. But then again, he's pretty much lost everything.

Based on the criminal complaint, it was noted that during one of their skype encounters, drew was in san jose, california so maybe its possible that hes being charged for engaging in online sexual communications with a minor in that area because that was one of the locations he was at while those calls occurred. It doesn't explain the Maryland charges though.... Interesting. Agreed on the Maryland thing though it could all be the same thing if the California one was him bring in San Jose. Lord knows Ninja Gyms are everywhere. So uhhhm, I don't want to talk to conclusions but he was in Baltimore for the taping last year... and he was talking to a lot of fans throughout the night, including some girls who might have been in their teens... not saying anything did happen that weekend but... I also can't disprove he wasn't inviting anyone back to his hotel room...

In this instance I'll plead the fifth since we can't prove it, but given all that we know now I'm gonna lean towards he totally did.

While anything is possible (especially if they got any sort of plea deal) I think it's just transfer from state to federal prison. Feds don't have to report about their inmates from what I'm reading since Federal custody is not general population.
