Can't believe i have a same opinion like some of you 1. Darvish Kenji : He got higher number than Yuuji and even Drew, where his records are nowhere near close to them. He only got that high 90s because of his popularity, That's pissed me off.
2. Sato Hiromichi : I just didin't like him. I don't even know why.
3. It's either Iwamoto or Karen.

I think that's the main reason why celebrities are generally disliked by the community.
Because of their status they get heralded as though they're almost All-Star level important to the show (which some would argue that they are due to their popularity in Japan, but I disagree personally), through getting high numbers which they just don't deserve based on previous merit. Them getting screen time on its own isn't an issue, but it does aggravate me when you see so many prolific competitors get digested in favour of airing celebrities' full runs. SASUKE 30 is a perfect example; they digested SHINGO, TAKEDA, AND YUUJI and showed Darvish's run in full.
I also feel like they seem to have an anomalous affinity for Darvish as well. Even Kinnikun and Wakky didn't get ridiculous amounts of screen time, nor did they get ridiculously high numbers, often in like the low-to-mid-80s. Darvish by comparison gets high 90s which I don't feel like he deserved.

I never said it was his fault.
I’m explaining why he’s disliked, not whether it’s down to his own doing or not even though I agree with most of the comments made about him here.
What I will say is down to him though is the rather annoying fake persona he takes on whenever he competes, which to me makes it even more aggravating that he gets more screen time.
For example, I don’t know how fake his crying was after he failed Stage 3 in 36, but it sure as hell sounded fake af.

The main reason as to why I completely dislike watching the celebrities in the present tournaments is cause the Challenge broadcast where I live, have been cutting them all out, probably due to their talent agencies not giving them permission to show them.
I definitely agree about Darvish getting too much screen-time, probably because his facepaint catches the attention of the SASUKE fans and TBS, not just his status. He's super annoying when he cries when winning or losing like Asa and I definitely like more regular challengers, e.g Keitaro and Tada.
Lastly, I get extremely p**sed and annoyed when some promising non-celeb challengers like Shunsuke (even tho he feels a bit like a celeb), Keitaro, Araki, Ugajin etc. are mostly fast forwarded, just so they can annoyingly concentrate on the famous celebrities who I couldn't care less for.
