I don't think Yamada would have been 99 like that. He hasn't done well enough since... well, a long time ago, to earn a high number like that.

Yamada has gotten high numbers before and after SASUKE 18, whether he deserved it or not. Only now is his numbers starting to go down. With that said, I think he still would have gotten a high number.
#100 - Nagano #99 - Nagasaki #98 - Yamada #97 - Yamamoto #96 - Takeda #95 - Sato #94 - Kawashima
Other than that, I don't know. Shiratori probably wouldn't be in the 90s and would still have a low 80s number. Maybe other celebrities or pro athletes, but not anyone notable.

I agree it would be high, but 99? I doubt it.

I liked the race, it disposed of earlier history of the older courses by seeing who was the fastest to determine what order. We don't always need Nagano to be 100 which is why I like 18's order.

Starting to see why you have a 10% warning, Idk. I was just saying, Yamada simply hasn't performed well enough lately to get number 99.
I kind of see why Nagano is always 100. I mean, he is the most recent champ.

i think yamada should have 99 even though he hasnt gotten to the second stage in a while he as been making it to the end of the first stage in Sasuke 16 and 17 just to time out on both sasukes. in sasuke 20 he was even 99 when he was not doing good and 99 is his signiture number. He was also #100 in the 17 so he should be 99 or 100 but because of nagano 99.

I dunno, I think more deserving people should be number 99. I think Yamada should earn it on this course instead of having it handed to him based on how he USED to perform. That's just me, though. I'm just saying. If you feel otherwise, that's cool. I'd be a little upset if they just handed 99 to him, though. And honestly, I think Yamada still does great. He scoots along quickly and conquers the obstacles he does conquer quickly and efficiently. Then his focus implodes, he fails and sits there in the water wondering what happened.
