The hosts seemed better in episode 2. They actually made me laugh a bit. I think they still could have done better though. The rushed qualifier is my biggest concern with this show. My other fear is the back half of the courses (stage 2 & 3) are the same every episode. Also not a huge fan of two people on a pretty easy Wipeout zone but eh I get why. I still don't think Nicole fits but its still too early to tell, but its definitely getting better. I have to imagine Season 2 will work out the kinks of Season 1 as im sure it'll get renewed. I'm starting to feel part of the reason the hosts, especially Nicole isn't working well is because it is pretty obvious they aren't there. With other shows like Holey Moley and American Ninja Warrior, the hosts being there, there are some more genuine reactions. This just feels really forced.

They're at least there for the Wipeout Zone which is actually new for Wipeout since the Johns used to never be on site. I do miss the old format a bit though, but enjoying some of the new changes.

The Wipeout Zone is the best part also in my view. The qualifier is the worse part to me. You don't see any full runs and the hosts antics just seem forced 75% of the time. I didn't watch the original much so I can't speak if that is new or not. But I feel like if they were in-person commenting as it were happening (even if they do some extra stuff in the post-edit), it would be more entertaining. But maybe that's just me.

The Johns really made it work in the original for everything before the Wipeout Zone. Honestly if we brought back their views (which Cena is pretty on par with) and a different cohost, this portion of the show would be fixed. I think the qualifier and semi final stages are too stale now compared to the original 4 stage format (doesn't help that its all duos now too compared to that being a one off thing). I will say over all this is a good start to a return, just need to fix some stuff which I'm sure they're aware of.

The most recent episode was a really disappointing gauntlet. But it was the hardest I was rooting for a team in the final round. This was genuinely one of those episodes where I think I could confidently say I could have done better.

Apparently, after 10 episodes, tonight was some sort of finale. The Cube premieres next week with 10 episodes. I'm guessing Wipeout might be back sometime in August or September for those other 10 episodes, since they were also casting for teams of three.

This was the last episode for now, but it wasn't the special all-star finale. That's coming up later. Needs massive improvement.

It needs to build to a finale. Without it, it lacks incentive to watch week to week.

There will be a new episode next week on Sunday, August 1 to promote the upcoming Suicide Squad movie.

Noticed some small changes with the Suicide Squad episode. Some very minor improvements but still the show is very stale. They have so much to fix for season 2.

The Cube had its season finale last week after 11 episodes. The network will be airing reruns of older Wipeout.

The show returns this Tuesday. Apparently, it's actually the second part of the first season, instead of a new season altogether.

We finally got a course redesign. Feels like the start of a new season, or what should've been mid-season.
The new Gauntlet and Wipeout Zone seem to be designed to speed things along, especially the Gauntlet. Not surprising since the bulk of the old Gauntlet was basically the front and back sections, and the middle section was more of a Spartan type filler.
Really wish they added one more obstacle in the Wipeout Zone if we're still doing the relay format.
Wondering how or if they changed the other path of Stage 1.
