I think it's great honestly, one of my favorite obstacles and vastly underused in Sasuke. The results it gives off are so unpredictable which makes it stand out from most Stage 1 things. I liked it for the first few American Vegas seasons, and was nice to see a comeback in Dallas, but I feel like after that it just became silly. Adding balls (maybe they didn't want Wipeout to sue them  ) and different heights made it lame and lose its original character. Plus, I feel like they just decided to abuse it once they brought it to regionals - they acted like it was new in Dallas I believe. Then it spawned all of the other bloody floating obstacles coming back year after year. I was on-set in Cinci last year and thought it was a new obstacle because the balls look a lot more cylindrical now - but I was told it was like that in season 10 too. |
