In 19 there is this Pretty Boy Floyd guy who jumps for the two walls but jumps back on to the trampoline avoids the water and just smiles. He then goes right for the jump again without any time spent resting and nails the jump. An impressive feat considering it was the 19th, JSpimp.
What was his name? The G4 Broadcast of 19 is unavailable.

Yoshihiro Minami, according to Ube's blog.
Although it probably would have been easier to just rewind to the beginning of his run and listen for the name.

I think he smiled because he thought he was going to fail but got lucky landing on the trampoline and getting a second shot.
Bad sign that the first guy to beat the jumping spider in 19 needed to take two tries XD

Nope.. He had it but was going down, avoided the water and even nailed it the second time.

It was Minami, and he was on G4 (although yeah, it's nowhere to be found at the moment). On the G4 telecast he went shortly before Brett did. Minami ended up failing at the Halfpipe Attack.

Yes, it was Minami, he wore #43 that day. The rumor that the Jumping Spider took out 42 people (which was spread by me as well) might not be true. The Jumping Spider could have taken out more or less. The line where the person I heard it from more likely meant that 42 people failed BEFORE the Jumping Spider was beaten. So the story that the Jumping Spider was failed by 42 people most likely isn't true.

I think it's quite possible that in the whole day that it was failed by 42 people but not the first 42 (who failed before or at the JS)

It was probably closer to 30 people falling right at the JS.
