I know there are no defined eras, so I just started and ended eras with each Kanzenseiha.
I voted for 5 - 17 which I named the All Star era because these tournaments are where Nagano, Takeda, and Shiratori first started competing and where the other three all stars continued having success. I remember most of these tournaments would feature most if not all the all stars passing the first stage and going deep into the third stage and final stage. Of course, it ended with Nagano finally winning in 17, which for me is still the most satisfying win.
Other competitors that had a lot of success here like Kenji Takahashi, Shinya Koboyashi, Shunsuke Nagasaki, and Koji Yamada were all so fun to watch. Not saying today's competitors are bad or anything like that because I do love most of them, but I feel the crop of competitors in that era were the most likable and relatable bunch.
Besides this, the course still for the most part felt doable for even the regular person. The first stage was fun and always had a decent amount of people pass it. I prefer the second stage as a speed stage, and that's exactly what it was here. The third stage, which is easy compared to today's ridiculous standards, was still fun and had classic obstacles. I think the final stage here was the most iconic with the spider climb leading to the Tsuna Nobori, which is why it was brought back for Morimoto's Kanzenseiha.
I may just be biased because I was first introduced to Sasuke in this era with these competitors, but this is by far my favorite era. These are just my thoughts though, and I would love to hear what other people in this community think! What are your favorite eras of Sasuke?

Have to agree with ya. May be biased towards the competitors I was introduced to in the beginning eras (the all stars) since I started in 16 and it was before 18 even aired. G4 would rerun Ninja Warrior 2 - 17 all the time back in 2006 and 2007 so I got to really root for certain competitors. Once the new era started the all star generation began to show its age. Though Nagano and Takeda continued their impressive runs, it was Shingo I was rooting for the most and he showed a significant slump just after Nagano won. It would take 2.5 years for him to return to his roots. It took me a few years to get to understand Yuuji but now I couldn't think of anyone better to lead the new generation (and yet he's just a couple of years younger than Toshihiro... ). Now a New new generation is here lead by Yusuke (who I like too) but we seem to forget who lead the charge at all. We have just 2 all stars left and they're no longer in their prime. I'm thankful the 2 left are my 2 favorites anyway so when one clears, I'll get excited but still. Most of my favorite tourneys fall in the all star reign. SASUKE 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 17 were stand out for me. I loved them. I still do (and yet 23 was my favorite tournament for showing a perfect mix of the 2 generations) and will continue to watch them for years to come. Now... if only Shingo can escape his even longer deficient now.

Yeah 23 was also my favorite tournament because it was a comeback season and somewhat of a last hoorah for the all stars as their last dominant tournament together. It also had great results across the board, and we got to see a lot of old favorites and new rising stars shine. A standout tournament in an era that had its hits and misses.

Shingo was such a standout in 23 let's be real here. Also Nagano and his epic equipment fail made me giggle quite a lot.

Originally I was gonna go with what seemingly everyone else was saying and go with 5-17, but honestly looking at it, I can say that 18-24 was my favourite era. The previous era was awesome but it was mostly dominated by the All-Stars... yeah, you had other stars but they never truly threatened the dominance of the All-Stars. 18-24 had both the All-Stars, who still did very well despite battling decline, which was arguably more heart wrenching to watch, while combining it with new stars who could actually compete and dominate (Kanno, Yuuji etc...). Not to mention that the 18-24 course is probably the most iconic of all, at least for me.

Idk why, but my favorite season so far is still 32... but for the era, I had to decide between Kanzen Renewal and Present era. I chose Present because of how the results always surprise me. The past era seems to be pretty predictable for me tbh

I completely agree with GlobalNinjaFan, Shin Sasuke was my favourite. Great competitors and course and just overall great to watch (plus it was the first era I watched).

I choose 5-17 but 18-24 come close. One reason I prefer 5-17 is the all stars but also the early part of the era when you still had all of the great athletes from Kinniku Banzuke like Kane, The Monkey, Yamada and a few others. 5-8's close calls in the 3rd STAGE made the hype for a 3rd STAGE Finalist increase, and when it did happen, we finally got to see a glimpse of the new tower and how it'd work. These 4 tournaments help cement this era and the rest of it continued it even with the end of Kinniku Banzuke. 9-13 saw the rise of the All Stars like Nagano and Bunpei, and the return of Kazuhiko with his 2 consecutive 3rd STAGE appearances in 11 and 12. Also to conclude this new rise of the All Stars was the 3 consecutive Final STAGE appearances of Nagano. This led to the race to the end with 14-17, who would reach the Final STAGE and finally achieve total victory, close calls with Shinji, Takeda and Bunpei in 14, 15 and 16. Then finally the end of the era with 17 as Nagano finally got to make it to the end, with rising star Shunsuke a long side him to reach that Final STAGE. However, 18-24 continued this nailbiting era with SASUKE 18, with the continuation of success from competitors like Takeda, Nagano, Kenji, and Shunsuke and the new and crazy obstacles made by the producers. SASUKE 19-21 ended up making it's own new race to see who would get to the Final STAGE. Finally with 22-23 we got to see the rise of the new stars, and the epic Final STAGE appearances with Yuuji in 22 and Nagano and Kanno in 23. 24 however kinda soured the era a little bit though. The reason why I say this is because with near total victories especially two times in a row, you'd think the producers would increase the difficulty like in SASUKE 13-14, but they didn't and only replaced some of the easy obstacles from 23 and added in easier ones like the X-Bridge. This led to the 5 finalists in the Final Stage which was fun to watch but predictable because you'd think by the end of the night someone would achieve total victory and it ended up being Yuuji which was pretty neat if not predictable. The only other saving grace with 24 was the shocking failures of Nagano (a person who was expected to go all the way this time) and Shingo in the 1st STAGE, and Takeda in the 3rd STAGE with his emotional talk with the interviewer. Either way both great era's but 5-17 barely edging out 18-24.

I'll say 5-17 since those tournaments are my favourite to watch in the Ninja Warrior episodes. Also Stage 1 would be different in successive tournaments (i.e., 11-17) due to new obstacles spicing things up. And since it's the longest era, it feels like the most "vintage" era in the series and I'm a sucker for nostalgia.
18-24 is a very close second, because it was a time when the All-Stars were great for the last time whilst the new stars shook things up, which created some very exciting tournaments. Also this era had the best music and the best crowds. It's hard to not put this first.

Kinda late for the topic *about two years!*, but I will say SASUKE 1-12. For me, SASUKE only had three era: Golden Era (SASUKE 1-12 with best announcer Furutachi announcing the show), Silver Era (SASUKE 13-27 with no Furutachi, but SASUKE All-Stars *and later Shin-Sedai* dominating), and Out of Interest Era (SASUKE 28-Present). For some reason, I never interested in rewatching SASUKE 28-Present, probably to due the editing within the RISING era that kinda resemble ANW. I miss the Monster9 era when the competition is fully focused on creating iconic, hard yet still scalable obstacle instead of creating obstacles that look so impossible to beat.

25-27 was the first era I ever watched (I first got into SASUKE when the American Ninja Warrior 3 finals aired on NBC back in 2011). 26 and 27 were (until 37) the only tournaments I had seen 100% in their original TBS broadcast (back when you could still watch full tournaments on YouTube). It also had the best runs by Ishikawa, my favourite competitor. His Stage 1 run from 26 is still my favourite of all time.
