SASUKE 24: G-Rope (Final Stage) SASUKE 25: Ultimate Cliffhanger (Third Stage) SASUKE 26: Ultimate Cliffhanger (Third Stage)
Now this gives me an idea for another thread (How would Takeda do if he competed in 26 and 27)

I'd imagine Takeda would be humbled by the Rolling Escargot in 26 like he was in 28, and would probably be taken out by the Flying Bar or Ultimate Cliffhanger in 27, or maybe as early on as the DSL.
As for Nagano, I'd say Final Stage time out in 24, and UCH fails in 25 and 26.

Him failing early was a symptom of a bigger problem - he didn't want to keep going on the show and it reflected on his results. When he felt motivated he got really far but when his heart was not in it he would fail early. TBH I just accept the results as they are and ignore any hypothetical scenarios since they serve no purpose.

I just don't because some take it too far and start hating people just because of some pipe dream.. no pun intended.

I thought Nagano looked as motivated as ever in 24. His swagger on the course was as evident as ever. He just made an awful error and lost his swagger and...lightness on the course after that.
Anyway in 24 he probably would have gotten to the final. No idea whether he'd have beaten it since the ladder may have slowed him down again.
I can't even imagine Nagano in 25/26's Stage 3, possibly barefoot on the Floating Boards. Most likely a UCH fail.
In 26 perhaps the Doorknobs would have tripped him up, or Cycling Road may have been awkward for him, but most likely another UCH fail at the little ledge. It'd be interesting to see him (or anyone) attempt the Jumping Rings (the original version).
Nagano showed his class in 27 with minimal specific training, so perhaps with a previous crack at the UCH beforehand he'd have beaten it in 27, and even a Final Stage attempt wouldn't have been out of the question.
It still bugs me that 26's Stage 3 was never beaten in all its glory.

For one the UCH in 25 was undeniably harder than the one he faced and failed on in 27. Even if you argued they were the same difficulty, the same transition to the little ledge was present in both versions. It's highly unlikely he would had cleared. Also, Nagano is certainly not one of the taller competitors. IIRC he's about 5'4". Probably the shortest all star, maybe next to Akiyama. Only guys who are relevant that are really shorter than him are Ryo and Yuuji, but not by much at all. As for Arsenette's point, my "what if" picks were basically best case for both Takeda and Nagano. I don't think either would do better than the scenarios I presented, and it's entirely they'd trip up before those obstacles. And of course it's also possible they'd do better, but I doubt it.

The UCH was created as psychological shock where as soon as the tarp was dropped and that monstrosity was revealed it would break weak minds who were coasting to the 3rd stage up to that point. And yeah Nagano is the 2nd shortest (though I found out he's 5'6" (my height) since I did the math wrong from centimeters.. Akiyama is shorter closer to 5'4"-5'5").

I always imagined Nagano being a big guy.

Check out those pics and you see how short he is comparatively.
