I did have commentary on that I know what I'm doing wrong, but they don't show up in this small one for whatever reason.
Anyway, after I saw the video I realized I was chickening out mid-jump, throwing the bar upwards like a basketball into the rungs rather than holding on.
I'll get it someday I swear to God... I didn't build this to play basketball!

Nice progress. I think I told you from the start go with metal if you have a main frame that short. and you're supposed to jump, not throw

Pretty epic.
Nice cushioning

Focus on hanging on to the bar. You can miss the jump and not fall off if you keep a solid grip. Get your feet up high and then whip your body. If you're afraid of falling you'll never make it!
I like how you put the rails after the ladder....shouldn't they be slanted down though? Or are you going for a pipe slider type deal?
Good luck!

He has said before he's going for a Pipe Slider, he already has posted a video of him using it as the Pipe Slider.

Poles aren't *fixed* They are still fine from before, and don't get in the way, so although they slant slightly downhill, it's not that big of a deal to go fixing them. But thanks David! Yeah... I'm really trying to get over the fear of throwing my body into the air... It's somewhat scarier than jumping the top part. But I feel like a wuss about it... I know I can do it, I'm just a fraidy cat. Something I gotta defeat just as much as any obstacle :/

If you'd like to try a less scary method, might I suggest mine? It's still scary at first, but, in my opinion, it's much less scary than the common method. That's why I use mine instead. Obviously. Swing forward. When you swing back, pull your knees up hard, do a pull-up and extend your arms. Make sure to also push them forward so that the pole hits the Salmon Ladder and you catch the notches on your way down (whether you've successfully made it to the next set or not). If you don't hit the Salmon Ladder with the bar, you're just going to fly up and AWAY from the Salmon Ladder. Check out my Salmon Ladder videos on Youtube if you'd like to see my technique, just in case I didn't describe it well enough.

Hmm... I think I might try that. That, and I'll also be duct-taping the bar to my hands so I can't let go

I got a few questions, how tall are those poles? Where did you get these materials and how much did they cost? I want to build something like this.

A little confused on JPJuice's post, but the rungs go 12 feet up. The steel poles are 10 feet across, and the black pipe is 7 feet wide. I don't remember all the exact everything, but I believe this cost me around $1500. More than I wanted to, but mistakes were made along the way, increasing cost. I'll put up specs later.

...I want to say that's an awful rip-off.
Are you counting the Pipe Slider and everything?

Yes. But remember, things broke on this. It's not like we had a guide on how to do this right. So I'm including multiple bolts/washers/nuts, many large heavy pieces of wood, lots of piping, expensive steel. Stuff added up, and when things didn't work/broke, the price went up.

Wow.
I built a Spider Climb today and even though this is one of my biggest projects yet, it was still free.
I actually spent 40 bucks on plywood, but I changed my design and ended up not needing the wood.

Dude, that's a lot of money!!!!!
I've sort of got permission from my brother to build a mini Sasuke course in the woods on his property. I've got everything pretty much planned out in my head and everything's going to be made pretty cheaply from wood (unless I decide to splurge with money I don't have and use plexiglass for the spider walk). It will be a while 'till it's done of course, but I'll post pictures and tips on building something similar for cheap.
I'm going to make many of the obstacles multi-purpose so that one structure will actually be 2 or 3 obstacles in one, or can be converted on the spot to function as a different obstacle. For example, the Slider Jump will double as a Log Grip. Just take off the bar, and lift the Log onto the rails!
I plan on having almost all of stage 3, stage 4 (in 2 parts side by side), and all the good ones ffrom stage one and 2 like the Downhill Jump, Salmon Ladder, Metal Spin, Sextuple Steps, Log Grip, Jumping Spider, Half Pipe Attack, Warped Wall, Slider Jump and Tarzan Rope!
The Warped Wall and Half Pipe Attack will basically be one object, you just run up it for the Wall or across it for the Pipe. The final stage rope will double as the Tarzan Rope etc.
It's still going to cost a lot of money that I don't have right now for the wood, so it will be a little while. (I'm accepting donations! haha)
About Oti's Salmon Ladder method: I like the way I do it of course, but at Muscle Park there is a wall in the way so I actually had to modify my technique and do it Oti's way. So it is a good idea to practice it that way if you ever plan on going to Muscle Park, heh!
