Does anyone know if Kawaguchi Tomohiro is competing? His instagram has pictures of him and Inui Masato out in Vietnam atm but I can't see him on any of the lists Tomohiro is a tester.

The rumor that the Spinning Log is an obstacle in Stage 1A has been confirmed.

I recognize Arashida and Miyamoto for I'm friends with them both. Recently Hiroshi shared a memory which showed Team Japan last year (I think) but it made me choke up since Kishida was pictured.

Most competitors are satisfied with the way the producer works, so I think that there will no boycott this year . And after one notable competitor was disqualified because his feet slightly touched the second pendulum (without making the pendulum move), most Vietnamese competitors are angry and disappointed now . There is a high chance that there will be a Stage 2 boycott this year .

And said that rule is not in ANW or Japan.

If you want to know the story, view the spoiler below. {Spoiler}SASUKE Vietnam Season 2's champion Le Van Thuc was disqualified because his shorts (not his leg/ any part of the body) touched the sandbag (which was controlled by a referee) in the middle of the second challenge, Double Pendulum. The referee saw that he touched it, so he released the sandbag and made it move away. Le Van Thuc felt it was ridiculous, and he complaint with Masato Inui. After considering all evidence provided by VTV, Masato Inui ruled that Le Van Thuc indeed violated the rule and should be disqualified. It is important to know that the sandbag is really close to the first pendulum, so many people were disqualified in this challenge.

Just wondering how many DQ's there have been because of that rule... That's ridiculous also IMO. No wonder some of them may be boycotting who cleared stage 1

About the above story, this is one of the evidence provided by VTV.

They remember the sweet soul taken from us all too soon. They remember and tribute to Satoru Kishida.

Good to know they didn't mess with the format. The idea for it probably has to do with them being interested in Ninja Vs. Ninja, especially since they've recently shared two videos from NVN on their FB page. --- I'm going to stick with "Tick Tock" because the standing blocks and cargo net make it look closer to that than Double Pendulum. Tick Tock - Double PendulumI don't see what purpose it serves to have a DQ rule like that at all. It sounds like complete garbage. If anything, competitors should be praised for reaching the bag after it's been released and completing the obstacle. The DQ rule here is so much worse than with the Rumbling Dice, which at least had a good intention behind it, just overzealously applied, for that matter, they didn't even need the rule at all if they would've just put some sort of grip tape on the rails. --- Nice that they got rid of the Hammer Dodge. They weren't very consistent with the patterns. Some people would get very distinct patterns so you would see them run through with barely a pause, while others would have hammers all over the place, which was where much of their fail montages were from. --- Interested in seeing how competitors handle Roulette Row. The rope in between will help ease up the gap, but the springboard may result in many wipeouts. --- Hard to be certain but I think the rope sliding distance and dismount may be shorter for the Step Slider. I found it entertaining in a messed up way that so many people failed the first obstacle last year, but I can see why they may have adjusted it.

So they used the Spinning Log from ANW6/7 with a barrier on the middle, eh... They had it on Australian Ninja Warrior and it was fairly difficult (they had both versions - Spinning Log and "Spinning Log with Donut"), I barely thought it was possible when I first saw it. I don't know if they had it on any other spin offs...

I was planning on downloading some clips from their TVAd Insider YouTube channel because the quality is tons better than streaming and I just want some runs from Stage 3 and 4, but I held off too long and it's been terminated due to multiple copyright infringements. I don't know what they did this time, but it's not surprising because the same thing happened a couple years back with their VTV Go channel. The issue back then was they used someone's drone footage several times on TV and YouTube without permission or credit - www.bbc.com/news/blogs-trending-35785996--- The streaming links from Season 3 don't seem to work anymore. It also doesn't appear in their search results. A rerun of Season 2 appears but doesn't seem to work. Other shows also seem to be having problems with even weeks old clips. However, the direct links I posted for Season 1 and 2 still work. --- Any official clips will have to be found on their Facebook page. Hopefully they make a new channel or use this other one and put things up just long enough to be saved.
