Honest question here: is there a future for the Cliffhanger or Salmon Ladder? Besides just making it longer and adding previous elements, I don't see any new concepts that can be introduced to either of these obstacles. With the Cliffhanger, we already have had going up and down (Cliffhanger Kai), massive drops (Shin and Ultimate) and now transitions (Crazy and Ultra Crazy). With the Salmon Ladder, we already have had going up (Original), down (Nabori/Kudari) as well as transitioning (Double and Swap). I just want to know if you guys see any new innovations that can be done to either obstacle, or if they have to be scrapped after the next Total Victory.

The question should be for Backstream
Btw yes. Cliffhanger and Salmon Ladder probably will go nowhere. It’s a good obstacle:/

Both of these along with quintuple steps and warped wall are synonymous with Sasuke. Don't mess with them, there are dozens of other obstacles that can be switched but you have to have the classics.

There's no obstacle on the show (except maaaaaybe the Warped Wall) that should be in every single tournament ever.
The Quintuple Steps definitely shouldn't. A lot of us miss the era where they had new starting obstacles almost every tournament (Hill Climb, Hurdle Jump, Prism Tilt, etc.). And even if you want to keep the idea of steps, they're countless arrangements, sizes and materials you could use. What about the Quintuple Steps but each step is made of logs that roll downward similar to the the Rolling Hill? That'd be different.
Salmon Ladder probably has one more variation before it wares its welcome, and not sure what that'd be. Maybe combine it with another obstacle (kinda like Pegasus, where you use pegs as rungs and move them up with every kip).
The Cliffhanger is pretty iconic but getting really sick of the Ultra Crazy Cliffhanger and all of its attention-hogging! Maybe make ledges that tilt like a seesaw or have the ledges attached to separate pieces that can swing in different directions. Or try a simpler but thinner Cliffhanger modification?
I'd like the Final Stage to change. It'd be amazing if they made like a row of 100 steps for Stage 4 lol

I don't really have any issues with the UCCH or Salmon Ladder. I think the obstacles they need to take a look at replacing or increasing the difficulty in stage 2 and 3 are the ring slider and the drum hopper kai.
