Hey guys,
This is a thread created to discuss potential upcoming stars in ANW. ANW 9 brought 41 athletes to Stage 2, which meant quite a couple of strong new rookies had gotten calls earlier that season. They can be pretty much anyone who isn't widely known (eg: Daniel Gil was a 'rising star' b4 ANW 8.)
Some might include Drew Knapp (ANW 8 rookie, made it to Wingnut Alley this last season), Grant Clinton (ANW 8 OKC finals clear), etc. Let me know what you think!

I would say Josh Levin, Daniel Gil, Sean Bryan, Charlie Andrews, and Barclay Stockett.

Charlie Andrews if he can get back to fitness.
Sean Bryan I think could go all the way if he works on one or two little things.
Adam Rayl has done brilliantly in the short form game but we are yet to see if he has the endurance and grip to handle S3.
Barclay Stockett is a little powerhouse. When I saw her first ever run I thought wow, this could be the first ever female ninja warrior.

Definitely Sean Bryan, he was in season 8, so he isnt a rookie, the best rookie in season 9 was Charlie Andrews and his amazing LA run.

Ranking them in order of ability/possibility of getting to Stage Three and being among the veterans: (I'm not counting Sean Bryan and Najee because they've both already spread their wings (no phoenix pun intended)): #1. Adam Rayl - have you seen his Wolfpack Ninja Tour stuff? Amazingly fast and powerful. #2. Josh Levin - I'm ranking Rayl above him solely because of Rayl's explosivity and power, and his getting to Wingnut Alley's dismount this last season. Apart from that, Josh Levin has an advantage on stage 3 and (I would say) has a... 40? 50? % chance of kanzenseiha. #3. Josh Salinas - although Wingnut Alley may just be too difficult for him (no offense to Josh), his amazing speed gives him an advantage on the course few else have. #4. Grant Clinton - just watch him destroy the OKC ANW8 Window Hang. He was faster than Daniel Gil on that, too! His mental abilities are very strong. #5. Charlie Andrews - finished LA finals, but don't know what he can do on a Vegas course. One of the best in TNW College Madness as well (imo MIT should have won.) Sorry, Charlie, I probably should have ranked you higher mate #6. Tyler Gillett - obviously one of the few ROYs this year, was surprisingly confident for a rookie, so well done to him! #7. Kevin Carbone - creativity and innovation make him unique, I can't wait to see what he can do in Stage 2. I think Daytona and LA had the best rookies this year, although Denver also wasn't bad. If certain rookies or rising stars didn't make the list, sorry about that, these are just some random thoughts and they only really consider people off the top of my head. my bad. will probably update the list soon.

Barclay Stockett is a little powerhouse. When I saw her first ever run I thought wow, this could be the first ever female ninja warrior. The thing that impresses me most about Barclay is that even though she's not very intuitive with new obstacles, she learns incredibly quickly, and the second time around blows through them. Now if she can just understand the concept of a time limit...
