Kane Kosugi (ケイン・コスギ) is an action star who attempted SASUKE five times. He is the first American to attempt the course and he is also the first American to attempt the Final Stage. He is one of my favorite challengers in the early tournaments of SASUKE , and I wish he would one day compete again .

But I think he still might comeback because Monster9 is gone now. While instances like Nagasaki returning just a tournament after M9 went bankrupt, keep in mind Shunsuke is only 30 now. Kane's in his 40s. A 5-year absence returning before you're 30 is a different set of circumstances to what would now be a 16-year absence. The course changed dramatically just from 19-29. Takeda is slightly younger than Kane and it took him a couple years/tournaments just to clear Stage 1. I would love to see Kane return but time isn't on his side. I'm sure he's still in good shape since he still does action films, but most everyone falls to aging in Sasuke eventually.

I’m afraid that he forgot Sasuke already... Nope. He moved on from it but still has friends in Sasuke. It's not like he needs Sasuke to be successful or famous.

Did him and Iketani not get along? From what I remember of watching clips of Sportsman and SASUKE 7 and 8, Iketani always had some sort of weird look whenever Kane was performing. I know Kane didn't take failing or losing well, but that couldn't have been enough to make Iketani hate him.

Both were super competitive and Kane was infinitely more famous than Iketani ever hoped to be.
