At least most of you (all of you actually) should know about this by now, but just in case you don't tomorrow marks exactly two decades since the first ever tournament (9/27/1997). Back then before they had the warped wall, jump hang, cliffhanger, salmon ladder, even before the pipe slider until the 2nd tournament, yep the nostalgia is real this time. And on top of that it was all indoors... well actually, the only one indoors. Who would of thought back then when watching the program with Shingo making his first appearance on television that he would compete ever since, and by that statement i mean not missing ONE competition!? I wasn't even born yet until SASUKE 2, but thanks to finding out about G4 by channel surfing I'm glad I got the chance to watch over half of these American-edited tournaments about 10 years ago. Some of the most recent tournaments may of not been as good as the ones in 2011 and earlier, but you have to give Inui credit for trying to air two tournaments this year instead of one as a 20th anniversary special. Any thoughts on the subject? (This is my very first thread, so I apologize if this looks messy lol). Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedSources for photos: Sasukepedia & Rambling Rican

Ah the feels It might be nitpicking, but is 9/27/1997 the air date or taping date? If it's the air date, I wonder when the actual taping date was.

It really is amazing to see the show grow up through our eyes. Shingo especially grows in front of us through his job as well as performance. I'm so happy to see him continue to compete even now.

I felt GREAT today knowing SSK aired 20 years ago!! I'm grateful to have met a lot of friends whose lives have been affected by this experience. When I met so many talented people at National Ninja League it really was a great feeling because I already knew of them (and some even knew of me!) Today I released "Kooler Than Ninjas" an edgy SSK themed music video. Finished it the evening prior and just BARELY got it up in time for this day. I'd rather not link it here because I've deemed it for Mature Audiences Only, but it's on my channel venusheadtrap2 if interested! Since I won't be blogging or streaming SSK anymore... I shall part ways with my old avatar as it was once synonymous with my YouTube identity. No longer!

I've been subscribed to you channel for a long time and I've also been watching your reactions to Sasuke Rising Tournaments before youtube forced you to take them down, as well as all your other videos. Bummer. But anyways i did watch the "Kooler Than Ninjas" video you recommended, liked it once i've finished it. When I saw you in the video, that just made my night. Rofl, it was just beyond words! It's too bad that you won't be streaming any more sasuke-related content, but it's your choice.

Today marks exactly 20 years! I'm glad that still today the same spirit is within the community, the fans, and most importantly the competitors. I'd say that the competitors and fan base are what really made the show still alive. It's absolutely incredible.
