The trailer concerns me. The course looks almost completely the same :/
I know there's the Double Rumbling Dice after Salmon Ladder, but surely that can't be it?

They shoot 3 episodes a night with 4 teams in ea episode. They also switched out 2 obstacles instead of just one this year for the first 1/2 which is a little better. I don’t think they changed the back half until more of semifinals and such but I’m pretty they do change out the back 1/2. The final obstacle is this lighting bolt type spider climb that is pretty long, I like it for a final obstacle instead of all upper body bc women can do it too when they race.

Okay then, I take back my last comment! That's actually pretty good change for Team, thank you for letting me know!

I actually took a ton of photos of my time there with the competitors (Day 1 and Final Day), I wonder when I should post it?

Also since it was posted I can confirm that the qualifiers for the show is a best of 5 rounds. Also for unknown reasons they switch the order of the people who ran first on Day 1 around, so the first episode I am is airing second.

Joe Moravsky tweeted that the reason for him choosing not to compete was because of horrible payment and contracts. Could be a known fact, but I wanted to throw that out there.

I’m really wondering if this is going to come back to bite him in the butt. He admitted once that he was told to shut his mouth by NBC/Comcast.

That was actually discussed early on in this thread but it got split off into another thread since it took up so much of this thread.

There is no way what Megan and JJ pulled should be legal. Purposely interfering with your opponent should be illegal or discouraged.

That's been legal since season 1, remember people who took their time on the Dancing Stones in the middle? TBH I figured designing the obstacle the way they did was for the exact purpose of giving people that strategy

The fact that she did it three times inn a row makes it more predictable and annoying. I feel bad for the one girl who was racing her every time she did it!

If they didn't want to create a situation where opponents may come into physical contact with each other, they wouldn't have made obstacles that both competitors could be on at the same time. Tell me of any racing environment where people don't attempt to cut others off in order to stay ahead when all participants are on the same track.

All true sports have stiff interference rules but ANW sees interference as a feature of TNW/NvN.. something I really don't like. This is a TV show and they are clear that they encourage interference.

I'm very aware of the intent of making contact part of the fun. What I'm saying is I wish they wouldn't allow it or encourage it. It was very clear that they wanted competitors to brush up against each other, and I'm fine with that. What I dislike is the strategy of purposely making it impossible for you opponent to complete the obstacle, or to grab their ring or their body. Its not exciting, it just makes the people doing it look kind of scummy.

I'm just happy they altered the rules to a) make the first half of the episode matter and b) Stop one player being able to carry their entire team, over and over again.
