The last thing I saw Chris (Ketchum) and Chris (Uncle Sam) talking about doing something this weekend. I admit that I'm rather looking forward to hanging out with new friends. So... having said that. Are there any current plans for doing something anywhere? Whether it's wherever in Colorado Springs, around town, on the ladder/slider, at that Climbing center Chris K. (I think?) posted about, whatever. There's a Dick's Sporting Goods on Powers that has a rock wall, pretty tall too. This probably isn't uncommon, because even the Dick's at our mall (Park Meadows) has a 6 track rock wall. So, enough of all this talk, let's make some serious plans, and do our best to stick to it, given that it's a significant drive for both I and Chris K. P.S. Contrary to the name of the thread, and the forum it's being posted in, I probably won't be doing any training. I need to stick to more conventional things generally for weight loss, first. I'd be there for support, social-ness, and pictures .

I'm considering organizing some sort of gathering at my house after I build a few more obstacles, sort of like Bunpei has at his place.
Also, Jason, about your focus... You should train even if you're overweight. Exercise will only help the weight come off faster and give you a nicer body underneath it all.

You live in Colorado too? [edit] No, you don't. Durr. I don't know why I allowed myself to second guess... myself.
I suppose my point was the fact that I won't be free running, or spider climbing, or doing the salmon ladder, etc. I'm not opposed to doing something, I just don't expect myself to be at the level of many folks here, and I don't want to slow them down/hold them back. [edit2] I didn't intend to never train, but with my weight where it is, I do need to lose weight before I can even think about doing any technical training. Then again, I really don't know what training involves (half my problem), so maybe I'm just talking out of my a** before really knowing what I'm up against.

Unclesam has work this saturday so the meeting has been canceled. Sorry to say but we met up on the 14th of April.
To sum up what happened, Unclesam kicked my a** in freerunning and bouldering. I kicked his a** in the globe grasp and the spider climb. Also, I'm so sore that standing up hurts.
I don't know when the next on will be. Especially since he works on weekends. I'm sure he'll tell us if he has a weekend off.
Also VxJasonxV, I found out where unclesam lives and he only lives around 15-20 minutes away from me. I thought he lived deep in colorado springs around fountain but he doesn't.

I sure will, but they keep changing my days off. For now, I work today, thursday, friday, saturday, sunday. Then I have at least monday off, but I don't think I have tuesday, as that should be the beginning of another 5 day shift.

That's what I was trying to point out to you, Jason. You don't have to lose weight before you start training.
My friend is the same way, but I make him try and he's slowly getting better. And, as he loses weight, he's progressing even more.

Saturday, even if he was off, is definitely going to be when we're snowed in. I know I wouldn't dream of driving down after everything we're supposed to get tonight until saturday afternoon.
Of course, by "we're", I mean my Denver metro area.

Yeah, Colorado is going to get so serious weather this weekend.
Also VxJasonxV, you should try some training. It doesn't have to be difficult. Try training with a pace test of some sort! Or try playing DDR! {Not beatmania...}
Honestly, I just want to pull off a gamers day. Get a group of people and play a crap load of multiplayer games.

Well, if you guys come down to the springs (Or someone can pick me up... I give gas money), and we do a huge day of DDR/Freerunning/Rock Climbing, that would be awesome.
Dunno where there's a decent climbing center in Denver though.

Also unclesam, I found out why my car suddenly was acting wierd. My car should of had 2 oil changes by now and I forgot twice already. I'm lucky my car hasn't blown up yet.

Sorry for the double post but it's for a good reason. I'm not doing anything this Tuesday 21 April 2009. I just got a new camera and I want to test this out. The weather is supposed to be beautiful. I'm going to be job hunting so I'll be in colorado springs anyway. If anyone wants to train, I'm up for it. {And yes, I'll get my oil changed for my car.} {Here's a link for the Weather.} www.weather.com/weather/tenday/80831?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared

unfortunately, I work tuesday, from noon until 9. If people want to meet early from 8 am to 11 or so (When I usually train before work) then I'm up for it.
I do have monday off though.

Man, I've been out of it this whole week. I missed all of this discussion. Then again, when you work 110 hours in two weeks, that'll happen pretty easily. The last day I did nothing for work (to the best of my memory) was on the 12th. Urgh . I'm itching to do this, I've been cooped up way too much lately.

Well, I have both Monday and Tuesday off, if anyone wants to do anything.
However, I have flips training monday night from 8:30 to 10:30, and I have a date on tuesday somewhere between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Other than that, anyone up for something? Call/text.
