A side prediction but I think Morimoto Yusuke built his replica of Flying Bar already xD. Wanna bet? And Yamamoto Shingo will fail Double Pendulum or Fishbone. Toshihiro Takeda will fail in 1st Stage (if there is a change) Mr. SASUKE will not compete in SSK34. One more foreigner compete this time along with Drechsel and Anastase.
Could only say this as the OFFICIAL competitor list hasn’t come out yet xD

I'm just waiting for a sudden spike from Shingo. I feel he CAN make 2nd stage and if he makes it to the backstream that's good enough for me. I feel he CAN make it, he just needs to put his training to the test.

For actual competitor predictions... Takeda and Shingo are both equipped enough to make it deep into Stage 2 even at their current ages of 42, but I can't see either of them breaking out of it at this point bar a really lenient time limit (which with current history, I don't see happening). The backstream/conveyor combo will just eat them up I think. We've never seen Takeda swim, but he isn't the fast 30 year old he once was on other obstacles, and struggles with just doing the Salmon Ladder in an efficient matter regardless nowadays (although he's always been about 50/50 with it). Shingo actually can swim from what I've heard, but has had pretty bad luck on the Backstream the two times he's tried it. I hope Shingo can break out of Stage 1 though, it's been a while. My current predictions for them are a cocky Stage 1 Takeda fail and an average Stage 2 fail out of Shingo. I think Yuuji and Kanno will come back stronger and more mentally prepared this time. I predict a Stage 2 fail out of Yuuji. I can see Kanno returning to Stage 3, but I can't ever see him getting out of it. He's just too big. As for people I do think are capable of clearing Stage 3... I'm feeling a shocking Stage 1 fail out of Morimoto. Champions have a history of messing up big time one or two tournaments after their win. I think Ryo will finally get his act together this time as well. How he has blown Stage 1 three times in a row like this has shocked me enough. It's time to break out of it. I bet we'll see a shocking Stage 3 fail out of him on something technical. Let's see, who else... Tomo's really good, but also does dumb stuff. We've seen him choke in Stage 3 a couple times, both in ANW and on Sasuke... but I could see him choking even earlier on. I suppose Shinya is Stage 4 material, but who am I kidding... he never makes it to Stage 3 for some reason. Oh yeah, Drew. Probably very late Stage 3 fail. And now the rest -- Asa, Hioki, and Kong -- I think Asa and Hioki will get too comfortable on Stage 1 and lose it there. Don't see much comfort for Kong though, I just think he's actually underconfident a bit now. No celeb is gonna break out of Stage 2, not even Mori. Course predictions: Probably gonna be completely the same, with actual fixes on Stage 3 and some modifications all around here or there. Hopefully Inui throws a curveball somewhere. I'm really rooting for Yuuji this tournament. Like Nagano said, I think he could win again. He has a few good years left in him at least. He's been really trying to train, so you can't help but hope he tackles his demons the right way. I wonder if Drew will go the farthest again... every tournament I'm always like this is the one where he messes up somewhere early on Stage 3 or in general, but it never happens. Good for him.

I believe Tada's training course, he should have gotten some practice. I just hope I'm right...

Let's see... ABCZ guy (also Yuji's friend)- another early 2nd stage fail. he's doesn't really train as much as the others so eh. Mori- another 2nd stage fail or early on 3rd stage. (i don't think he has the upper body strength to go far on stage 3) yuji- 2nd stage again? I just wanna see him pass stage 1 this time. asa- 3rd stage again, but i dunno if he'll ever make the final. drew- he needs to get to the final at least once. hope he gets it this time. but realistically im saying another tail end stage 3 fail. nagano's protege (forgot his name)- maybe gets to stage 2 end? I think he still lacks the upper body strength. tomohiro- 2nd stage? ? shingo and takeda- i say 2nd stage again for those 2. takeda wouldve gained confidence from 33, and shingo's just too good to fail stage 1 4 times in a row. mask face (Sorry idk his name)- 2nd stage. he'll wanna get that revenge on that lumberjack climb.
