Thanks to YouTube, I have discovered that episode of "Ninja Warrior in Arabic" are officially available to watch. This is the version that was funded by Saudi Prince Faisal Bin Bandar a while back and was filmed in Hurghada, Egypt. It appears the show uses a format similar to Ninja Warrior UK. It really is a strange idea for the rope to be on the Jumping Spider. But it makes me think a rope-swing between two Jumping Spiders could be a cool obstacle. But its weird how it is.

It'd be interesting to see a version of a Jumping Spider where it's a Moving Grip Obstacle + Spider Walk/Jumping Spider. The Silk Slider would be a good canidate as you wouldn't be blocked like the Log Grip and plenty of room to transfer to the wall.

Although they used ATS to construct the course, they are not using the European format. There are no qualifying rounds. Instead it is just a four stage course like Sasuke with 240 contestants. It airs Mondays on that YouTube channel with "behind the scene" episodes airing Tuesdays. 171 people have ran Stage 1 so far in the 9 episodes that have aired. It has not aired the past two weeks due to special Ramadan programming. It should continue airing June 26th at the latest since Ramadan will be over then. {Some results so far:} 6 people have cleared Stage 1 so far. The obstacle that has taken out the most people is the Warped Wall with 41 fails.

The bit that I watched puts this version on a much higher level than Ninja Warrior UK.

After 11 episodes, they are still doing Stage 1. This show should have been called as Sasuke Egypt since there are no qualifying rounds. It's pretty much Sasuke meets Ninja Warrior UK. Just wondering when is Stage 2.

The first season finished airing yesterday. While I liked the course and the competitors, I really didn't like the editing. Stage 1 aired over 12 episodes which were each about 75 minutes. That should have been enough time to air every run in it's entirety, but half the competitors were fast-forwarded. This is because the hosts would talk before and after every run for a lengthy period of time. The first run of each episode usually didn't happen until after the 10-minute mark. This caused the season to drag on. The show also took a 5-week break for Ramadan and another week off last week which further caused the season to drag. The 4-Stage course was made up of the following obstacles: Stage 1: Quintuple Steps, Log Grip, Coin Flip, Jump Hang, Jumping Spider, Warped Wall, Ring of Fire, Floating Stairs, and the Spider Climb with a 240s time limit. Stage 2: Big Dipper, Rolling Log (version appearing most recently on ANW), Spin Cycle, Salmon Ladder + Unstable Bridge (single bridge version), and the Wall Lift with a 225s time limit. Stage 3: Cannonball Alley, Double Tilt Ladder, I-Beam Cross (ANW8 version), Floating Boards, Area 51 (new version with two sliding UFOs separated by a transition bar), Pole Grasper, Cliffhanger (version appearing in the ANW7 Houston finals, NWUK3, and AuNW), and the Flying Bar. {Results} 8 out of the 240 competitors completed Stage 1 and no one cleared Stage 2. #776 Nasr Eddine Aboudi, a 25 year old from Morocco, went the farthest failing the Unstable Bridge.
