I created this thread just because I found inspiration from 31's "Are the All-Stars a story of tragedy or glory" thread. If anyone has made this thread in the past,I give credit to you for inventing this thread in the first place.

It may be weird for me to say this but... I actually chose Toshihiro just because he just seems to be the guinea pig for the 3rd stage. I mean seems he continues to screw up at a new obstacle in the stage. Either that or he flat out runs out of energy.

Yamada, closely followed by Takeda.

Yamada, but I suppose Kane Kosugi is a close 2nd too. His demeanor and intensity coupled with his dramatic exit is somewhat tragic in an epic way.

What do you mean by "tragic"? Tragic Background? That'd be Yamada or Nakata Tragic SASUKE career? That'd be Yamada or Takeda
So Yamada it is

If we are talking about a tragic happening to the Sasuke competitors, I would actually say Daisuke Nakata more than Katsumi Yamada. The main reason is because of the fact that Nakata almost got killed by a hit and run, and it pretty much made it so that he wasn't able to be the same consistent competitor that he once was (at least when you watch his runs in Sasuke 17 and Sasuke 21.) Yamada pretty much had age catch up to him, and made some pretty selfish decisions along the way in his Sasuke career which makes me feel less sympathetic for him compared to Daisuke.
Nakata is actually one of my favorite Sasuke competitors, it's a shame we'll pretty much never see him competing again.

I mean seems he continues to screw up at a new obstacle in the stage. Either that or he flat out runs out of energy. I totally agree. 13 3rd Stage attempts and nothing. People probably chose Yamada because of SASUKE 6 and 10 or his first stage attempts but unlike Yamada, Takeda was able to move on and move to the next tournament. Meanwhile Yamada just drowns in his SASUKE sorrows expecting someone to feel sorry for him. Even though most SASUKE fans on this forum know how much of a jerk he is behind the scenes, even banned from the show at one point. Bottom Line is, Takeda IMO is more tragic because he wanted to make it to the Final so much over the last 18 years and he never achieved it. No matter how much he trained, how far he made it in the stage (Final Obstacle of 3rd Stage). Broken shoulders and all, he still couldn't achieve it. Yea this was probably a mini rant but I'm just trying to prove my point.

It didn’t help he also had the pressure of being the only all star to pass stage 1 mounted on him.

I've always felt bad for Yamada, but at the end of the day, I gotta go with Takeda. His resume is so much more impressive than Yamada's, but Takeda never made the Final Stage. When Nagano retired, all eyes went to him for the All Stars, and he's slowly losing his touch. He's the most consistent SASUKE competitor of all time, and it's a shame he never got to touch the Final Stage.

I'd say that Nakata is #1 for me, then Takeda is #2. Hell, I'd even put Asa Kazuma as #3 because of how much he prepared himself for the crazy cliffhanger, only to fail it 4 tournaments in a row. On top of that, I've never seen someone so emotionally attached to Sasuke when it comes to Kazuma (to me, he absolutely beats Yamada when it comes to that) I think Kazuma's performances have also sadly been overlooked because of the fact that he's never made it past the cliffhanger in general, and top that with a couple of embarrassing moments for him (remember when he failed on the 2nd obstacle in ANW?) plus the fact that I think his age is really catching up to him now, yeah he gets #3 on my list.

I was between Takeda and Nakata.. but went with Nakata. His career in Sasuke was soaring had it not been for that horrendous accident that changed his life.

I had honestly initially forgotten about Nakata but I think he is sadly the most tragic competitor. Never enjoyed the glory of the all stars even though he was putting in great results year after year alongside them. And when he could have finally had a breakout performance, the terrible hit and run. Not only effectively ended his Sasuke career but altered his life altogether. I wonder how he's doing these days.

He's been doing great. He does commentary for TBS during the Olympics. I think he's doing a traveling show with friends now. I am seeing twitter videos with him and I checked tags that has him on InstagramDunno if he has Facebook obviously but he's not on Instagram or Twitter.

Just thinking about it earlier made me sad! Still does but at least he's made a life for himself after the accident, which could have ended his life figuratively, not just literally.

Wow,after hearing what happened to Nakata,I do agree man,guy was a beast, and when he had it going well, got an ankle injury in 13 and a hit and run later in the year....That's so unfortunate.. EDIT:Did he have a stalker????I heard that he had a stalker from Sasukepedia(although I know, that Sasukepedia can't be trusted, that is why I am asking)
