The paddle boards look so ugly this episode. Worse then the rolling log in my opinion. Also are they longer then before? I didn't mind the flames Rolling Log, and Paddle Boards would seem ugly if they didn't remind if of that one hallway in Symphogear, that I only remember since it reminded me of the Paddle Boards lol Also props to me for one of the most obscure f***ing references in SMF history

I'm kinda pissed that I knew that Meagan wasn't going to clear by the POM run of the night going to Ball. They have to implement that in some other way. They should probably say who got the run of the night after everyone has run the course.

Honestly after the 19 timed minutes (and 23 if you count the untimed part when she got them to dry off a dry wall) I don't even mind Meagan failing, if anything I mind her failing when she did but if a Ring Swing fail gets into City Finals... yeah...

I... freaking... love... Sam Sann... He's so strong considering what all happened... Sam Sann's just an all-around great guy.

They should probably say who got the run of the night after everyone has run the course. The POM really should be at the end no matter what. It is a huge spoiler especially when they gave Labreck one in Philadelphia Finals last year. It indicated that no one would finish the course.

Recap
Personally this Episode wasn't great. TBH the best episode this season is tied with Daytona and Cleveland. Also too much shocking fails (Jake Murray, Matt Wilder, Noah Kaufman, and Jon Stewart)
They cut out Karson Voiles, Michael Silenzi, Deon Graham, Yancey Quezada, Dalton Knapp, etc.

The Bouncing Spider is a ripoff of the Jumping Spider + Wall Drop (But Worse)

The Bouncing Spider is a horrible obstacle. I know you can say this for pretty much every obstacle on the show, but at least it's not the wall drop. You're at least doing something consistent the whole way through. You're not going from random nunchucks to a wall for no reason that tilts on you when you're planning your jump. You're doing the spider walk the whole way through. I think the three pendulums must screw with the competitors heads, but at least it puts some strategy to it. I hate hourglass trampolines, and whatever special name Matt called it made me cringe beyond belief.

Highs:•Brian Arnold’s proposal sounds like it was fun! •Dan Yager on the Floating Steps was SMOOTH!
•It's really great to hear that Michael Stanger’s wife is out of her wheelchair 100%, but they should've waited ‘til his fluff piece to reveal that. (Both a high and low, but I put it here )
•Lorin Ball was even more smooth than Yager on the Floating Steps! Lows:•I'm guessing the Bouncing Spider is the hodgepodge-of-other-obstacle-parts Qualifying/Finals obstacle of this season? •”The Ninja Skywalker?” REALLY? •NO, NOT JON STEWART! •So they teased the Souter Seven with a fluff piece, then digested 4 of them? •JAKE MURRAY NOOOOO!!!! Other Notes:•Sierra Souter looks like Margot Robbie. Sounds kinda like her too, at least when Robbie uses an American accent. •The dismount for the Ring Swing seems easier. •Did Ryan Souter forget he had to put the bar in the notch on the Rail Runner? •Brian Arnold’s nose is okay, phew! •Ryan Sutter kinda looks like James Van der Beek. •I gotta admit, I laughed a little when Jake Murray punted his helmet out of the frame. Kacy Count: 0 again. I think they're finally getting around to pushing her away from the spotlight. Jessie Count:5 Fluff Piece Count:13 Digested:•Noah Kaufman •Matt Wilder •Jeri D’Aurelio •Drew Knapp •Ian Dory Cut:•Karson Voiles

Oh Wall Drop was worse than you think, at first it was a V chain of random Atomik holds going up to the wall, then they decided to reuse the nunchuks from the Flying Nunchuks (In all honesty I asked them if they were the same ones from ANW5, they were, and they were surprised someone actually remembered that, and here I was surprised they still had those and brought them around), and then they scraped the V Chain and just put poles over individual chains. I like ATS, and seeing what Sasuke obstacles have become I trust them the most of any of the Ninja builders around the world, but they are kind of low on obstacle ideas...

Loved Michael Stanger's fluffpiece, might be my favorite of the year. Surprised Rachel Rodriguez wasn't featured.

I honestly don't know the answer to that question but it's a bad name because now I can't stop laughing when I hear it. I think I woke up half the neighborhood at 5 am reading that comment.

That rail runner was brutal but an incredible idea ... the fact that it rolls back was insane ... this was hardest city qualifier ...and the rail runner has got to be the 2nd hardest qualifying obstacle ever behind rolling thunder ..crank it up can take a backseat lol .

I haven't seen the episode but have heard the name Wine girl... does she drink it, sell it or just complain a lot? That would be Tammy McClure, The Wine Warrior. She owns an independent winery with her husband and she made it into the top 30. I wasn't much of a fan of this episode. They took two obstacles from last year I didn't like and added two new obstacles I didn't like. Not exactly a winning combination.

The idea is there, just how it was made was eh. What could've been a cool idea is if they instead of the poles used ropes like they did on the jump hang that one season of Sasuke.

I just don't understand how the Rail Runner... thing... is physically possible.
But hey, it works. I like it.
I also think they might have butchered the paddle boards, not in how it works, but... ew. That's way too long. Couldn't they, I dunno, had... S5 Balance Bridge?
I don't know at this point.
