Happy Easter everybody. I hope everyone takes the time to reflect on the true meaning of this holiday: that our Saviour, Jesus Christ died on the cross for all our sins. I pray that everyone will have a blessed and relaxing day.

That was Friday.
Today I am thankful that Jesus rose from the grave, fulfilling prophecy as our eternal Savior, and that he now makes intercession for us so that we may have life, life more abundant, and life eternal. (John 3:16 and John 10:10).

Always useful to remember that holidays were once religous experiences rather than excersises in Capitalist greed.
He can say this better than I can:

I'm atheist but yeah. Happy happy. ditto, ex-catholic, happy easter everyone (kinda late i know) I know a lot of ex-Catholics who have lost the faith. My parents are in the Salvation ministry at my church and probably 50% of the people rededicating their lives to Jesus are ex-Catholics. A Catholic service is solemn (almost depressing), ritualistic, and very unfulfilling. More mature Christians can receive something from this kind of service but new Christians, children, and teenagers find them boring. I think with Catholicism, there is too much focus on the RELIGION and not the RELATIONSHIP with Christ. I am not trying to judge Bgiblnid or JPjuice, but I know that having a relationship with Jesus Christ causes me to have a purpose each day. Perhaps a Charismatic church with loud, live music, and a pastor that doesn't preach but instead teaches, would help you both to receive the gifts of God. Thank you for putting up with my speech!

Unfortunately, I have dealt with far too many people who believe that the relationship they have with Jesus Christ makes them superior to those without it. And saying that only by accepting Jesus can you have a purpose comes off as sounding kinda arrogant.
Everyone should be allowed to believe what they want. But I also think that people should be allowed to make their own decisions without others trying to reclaim their souls.

But I also think that people should be allowed to make their own decisions without others trying to reclaim their souls. Not once did I say I was any better than everyone else. I said for me personally having a relationship with Christ has given me a purpose. Please realize I am not at all judging anyone else. I'm so sorry if it sounded like I did. Everyone has total freedom to believe what they please. I only wanted to give my opinion and a bit of advice. A true Christian will not act arrogantly at all. I do agree, Talledega, that there are plenty of "Chritians" out there who act "Holier than thou." Unfortunately, it is these kind of "Christians" that leave the bitter taste in most people's mouths. I hope I have cleared up any resentment caused by my last post.
