As you guys know, sasuke 33 happened a couple of hours ago but I'm wondering, based off of his past two sasuke performances, should Drew be #100 for sasuke 34.I think he deserves it, what do you think?

While the RISING era has mostly rewarded performance over legacy when it comes to competitor numbers, I do think Yusuke should keep 100, given it has never gone to anyone who isn't a past champion since Sasuke 4, excepting Yamada, who got within spitting distance anyway.
I do think he should have a high 90 number, possibly even 98 or 99, but giving him 100 would probably be an unpopular move with the domestic Japanese fans, not to mention it would probably give the production staff an aneurism, given... recent events.
If Sasuke was a completely international competition I would approve, but as it stands it is still a Japanese show with select foreign competitors, and 100 should probably stay with the home crowd.

#99. Yusuke still deserves 100, despite not doing the best in the tournament. Yusuke won the same course Drew attempted. He's worthy of the number and should get it if Yusuke doesn't show, but it's disrespectful to Yusuke to take away his #100 bib because he whiffed an obstacle that was sketchy in general.

Drew is great, but doesn't deserve #100 at this point. I think like Cameron said, he should have #99.

This thread is in wrong board, it should be in Sasuke 33 board.
And no, he doesn't deserve it because Morimoto has just won the damn course and delivered strong run as a champion. #99 yes, but not #100.

The title of this thread alone is kind of spoilery -- it suggests Drew did very well.
I think that right now, Yusuke is the future of the show and Sasuke will live or die by how well TBS/Inui can market him. So barring like 3 or 4 tournaments of utter failures from Yusuke and Drew being LMS, or someone else winning, I would say Yusuke should stay 100.
Now if Drew achieves total victory -- certainly a possible scenario -- then all bets are off.

Yusuke is the champion he should be 100 it's that simple tbh especially when he went to stage 3 on his first post win run.

Give him 99 or 98. Yusuke deserves 100 still.

I'd not begrudge Drew 99 for his 32 effort more than anything

I'd give him 99.Because his performance was great in 33.I'm still going to make Morimoto 100 because he did what Drew couldn't do.

Drew is good, but I think 100 should be Morimoto's until someone other than him gets a Total Victory. A 99 or 98 may suit Drew.
And by the way, what number will Wreathman get? Will it still around 90s? I hope he gets more time to prepare so what happened in 33 won't happen anymore.

Yusuke should get #100. First he's the current champion, Secondly, though Drew did extremely well these tournaments, Japan is not his native home. Drew sure deserves #99. High chance is gonna be Drew getting #99 because of his recent splendid performance.

Drew got best result 2 tournaments in a row, but Yusuke is still our most recent champ, Drew should get 99, not 100

I agree with everyone who says Drew 99, Yusuke 100. He's been now twice in a row LMS, but Yusuke is still the most recent champ. If/When Drew wins it all, give him 100. The title of this thread alone is kind of spoilery -- it suggests Drew did very well. Agreed.

New title isn't any way spoilerish. Also he wasn't last man standing in both of those tournaments where he went furthest.

The right thing is to give Drew 99, but given that the Japanese producers have a certain "pride" in them despite being Drew outdoing them for 2 tournaments in a row now, he'll never get it. My guess is that Asa, Nagasaki and Sato will get 97,98,99 and Drew will get 96 IF he gets invited again.

Levi was #99 in 21 and David was #98 in 27, so there's some precedent to give a foreigner such a high number. Drew has now outperformed each of those two by a fair amount, so it's definitely within the realm of possibility.

A historical precedent: In SASUKE 6 Yamada was Last Man Standing and Akiyama was #100 after missing the tournament before. Yamada was #100 in SASUKE 7, although Akiyama failed the 1st Stage.
Should Drew be #100? Yes. Will he? No.
