All I'll say is it's nothing crazy. It's basically extremely similar to a previous obstacle. What's crazy is what it did to some of the competitors

Hey guys. I do have some spoilers on Kansas City. I have to say this with a caveat because ya'll know that in the past I have gotten hate mail for crap I have no control over. Never in the past have I revealed who my sources are and I won't this time again. I'm doing this as a favor partly because I have kept my sources before but mostly because I wanted to share (and got permission) because it involves fellow SMF'ers I'm really really proud of! I swear this year has to be a record of most SMF'ers in ANW both invited and on Walk ons and it's really nice reading about everyone's experience and excitement. I still enjoy the community aspect of all of this. Anyway.. again I'm only the messenger so forgive me if the information is incorrect, or incomplete. I also don't know more than what was sent so if someone is curious about anything outside of this information.. I don't know it. Please don't send me private messages. This is the entirety of the message sent. So without further ado: 6 total walk ons made it to Vegas just in Kansas City Alone!! Of interest to us here on SMF our very own Ben Baker was one of them!! I'm so happy! The only guy to actually make it to the last obstacle was one of the 6 walkons (not Ben Baker specifically but someone else I think)! Most people fell on the floating monkey pegs. Also some clarification on the "history has been made" part that they keep eluding to on social media: One of the walk ons that cleared the qualifying night was the youngest ever to complete the course! He just turned 21 (last month iirc). Plus he was the very last person to run and really shouldn't have ran but he was already on the starting platform! To be honest.. I'm excited to hear all of this so I hope it is shown well!

Is there a specific social media thing saying "history has been made" regarding Kansas City? I know ANW just throws that phrase out like it's going out of style but I haven't heard them specifically saying history was made in Kansas City. Also, per my sources, I can also confirm much of this.

There was definitely success in KC for SMF.. in more ways than one. I'm so proud of everyone!

Did anyone catch that very odd promo for kanas city that anw put on its YouTube account that was a half run of this guy? It showed the first three obstacles of the course, but there were absolutely no post production effects or sounds at all besides Matt and Akbar talking. Was quite jarring and got taken down not long after. The course looks pretty good though, the second obstacle actually requires some swing to be built up, and the double spinning log (it has a real name I can't remember) has the logs adjacent to each other, so you have to make a move over to the right instead of just powering through. I am getting some bad snake crossing vibes however, which is never good.

You can be the first SMFer to be in at least Sasuke Navi. I hate to break it to you but it's a bit too late for that, there have already been multiple SMF members in Sasuke Navis by now
