Okay so since probably Thursday I've just been not able to do what I usually can do fairly quickly and easily (because they are quick and easy, honestly). And today I went to do a hanging course (cannonballs and nunchucks) and I can't really even hang from the nunchucks (and I can usually do five full rotations around on them) because my hand just slides right off. Then the cannonballs are just extremely painful to hang from and I can't really hang from them properly. So I'm just wondering if this happens from time to time or if I should be worried or change something I'm doing. It would be terrible to feel like this during Wolf pack Ninja Tour! Thanks for reading even though I know this probably seend random

How long have you been training for ninja warrior? I have been training for 6 years and if I take a month or two off then that is what happens to me. Your muscles are very tired and just need to rebuild. It's normal. Listen to your body when it needs rest. I know my hands would hurt real bad to where I couldn't grip anything like I usually could, atleast until my calluses formed. There are still some weeks where I over train now , and I will have to take a day or two off when I can't even go up 2 rungs on the salmon ladder.

I've had a gym in my garage up and completed since December 2015. I usually go out there several times a day and do stuff. And there have been times before where I'm just useless for awhile. But not this bad, which is what's scaring me. I did go on a vacation from Riday to Monday and was inactive for most of that time so this could play a part. It's mainly just alarming how fast things could deteriorate! Thank you for replying too

Yeah I have yet to figure out if everyone has that problem or its just people like me and you. Cause If I don't train for like two weeks I go down hill quick. I'm a skinny guy with a fast metabolism and wonder if that plays a roll.
I don't know if you work during the day or not, but I run a chain saw at work everyday day. Some days I get home and I'm just completely drained. I have to just say yes to my body and let it rest. The next day Im ready to go though.

Take time off. It won't kill you. I'm a distance runner. In my sport, 'hardcore' people insist that taking time off makes you lose your fitness rapidly. Not only are they wrong, they're often injured. Have confidence in the training you've built up and come back when you feel ready.
