Also, Cass Clawson is the first walk on competing in Vegas this year.

Highs: •Kenny Nemitalo’s daughter finally got a new kidney! •It's great that Kacy finally made it back to the Wall, shame she failed it. •Awesome that Barclay Stockett made it all the way to the Hourglass Drop! •We almost had no finishers, but Daniel Gil pulled through! Lows: •Oh my godddddddd they used the Hourglass Drop again… •The Tic Toc was too close to the net. When Karsten Williams was on it, it looked like he could've reached out and grabbed the net on the first swing. •Spinball Wizard is such a stupid name. •The landing pad (if you can even call it that) on the Hourglass Drop is horrible. •Daniel Gil’s completed more individual obstacles than anyone except Drew? He's good, but I don't think so... Other Notes: •So Nate Burkhalter moved to Norway… What does that mean for other US citizens outside the country who want to compete on ANW? Was he only allowed to compete ‘cause he's a veteran? •I figured the Hourglass Drop would have the same rule as the Wave Runner in which you couldn't dismount from the first plank. Guess not, since Thomas Stillings wasn't DQ’d on it. •Speaking of Thomas Stillings, I forgot he used to have long hair lol •Someone in the background of Brent Steffensen’s post-run interview looked like he was high, lol Kacy Count: 66+ (Lost count during her run ) Jessie Count: 1 Fluff Piece Count: 9 Mid-cut: •Abel Gonzalez •Nicholas Coolridge Digested: •Kevin Klein •Tremayne Dortch •Grant Clinton •Andrew Lowes Cut: •Nobody who made it to Vegas!

•Daniel Gil’s completed more individual obstacles than anyone except Drew? He's good, but I don't think so... They said that was over the last 2 seasons. I would've guessed Joe was after Drew, but it's definitely possible it's Gil. He completed 6 more than Joe in ANW8 (Invisible Ladder, Wave Runner, Butterfly Wall, Double Wedge, Wall Flip, Keylock Hang, and Floating Boards).

Coolridge must've slapped a producer in the face while calling his mum a nag

Anyone else notice that Gill should have been DQ'd he pulled himself up using the truss at the top. There should have been zero finishers and they really need to make run of the night a short recap and interview at the end not at the end of the episode not the particular run.

Cut: •Nobody who made it to Vegas! Although I'm not one hundred percent positive, I'm pretty sure Matt Holt (10th | Hourglass Drop @ 3:19.13) was cut.

Coolridge must've slapped a producer in the face while calling his mum a nag I thought he must have paid someone off. His airtime last night was more than he got in all of season combined.

If you're kind of uninteresting they don't have to show you. He's really talented, but he's not necessarily one of the elite either. Anyway this is the same guy whose backstory his first year included him eating yogurt out of a dumpster, you can only shine attention toward complete bumassery for so long.

I thought he must have paid someone off. His airtime last night was more than he got in all of season combined. He got shown starting from the 3rd obstacle in the city finals last year. True, but that was only about a minute and a half of screen time. He got a full 4 minutes last night, but that is probably all we will see of him for the rest of the year. It appears that if Coolridge is in your city finals, there will only be one finisher that night. Since he came on the scene these are the finishers for the cities he has competed in. 2015 Los Angeles Coolridge 2016 Los Angeles Levin 2017 San Antonio Gil

I still don't understand the hullabaloo over ROTN -- it's a relatively arbitrary, assigned achievement that has no actual affect on the results from the show. No one receives any monetary prize for it, you can get the run of the night designation in your region and still end up digested in Vegas, so your edit isn't completely affected by it long-term. I've been following this show since season one, the American Ninja Challenges if you want to get really early in international competition lifetime. I barely remember ROTN exists half the time. Maybe I'm just used to it given Sasuke will outright show people failing in previews before and during the show. It's to the point where you can usually gleam from the commercials whether or not there's a Final Stage attempt based off if they show it in the commercial or not.
I can't even remember the last time I've seen an ad for an upcoming Sasuke, where they did not show the Final Stage active (being attempted if not an outright completion by showing the smoke signaling a win with a far shot to conceal the person who did it) but someone clears Stage 3 as a surprise. I don't think I've ever even seen such an ad; even in the JET broadcast of Sasuke 4, in the intro for the show, they showed Akiyama in the Final; they just didn't point him out. ANW has had some doozies of spoilers; but even ANW will turn away from anything resembling a result every now and again. Sasuke has been so egregious to the point where it's just expected.
Point being: I get not wanting to be spoiled. I get the pseudo-metagaming the edit given how consistently it's used. But it seems like putting so much worth into something that in the grand scheme of things, means relatively nothing, why keep looking for it.

So who retired? I haven't watched this show all season. Kacy is thinking of retiring {Spoiler} Despite what Matt Iseman said in his Facebook livestream, there was no actual announcement, though. I wonder if there was a last-minute edit?

Kacy count after tonight: Actually it was 49! And Jessie got a pity count at the end. 49! is a very big number. 63 digits long!
