Born and raised Philadelphia Phillies fan but not much of a baseball person as I used to be. My Dad however is a die-hard Pittsburgh Pirates fan because of Roberto Clemente waaaaay back in the 1970's

The worst part of it is he was going to help earthquake victims.
BTW, the White Sox just won.

Really, if you go outside of New York (or into Mets territory within NY), most people HATE the Yankees. I mean hate them even more than other teams.
And well, Beckett pitched a good game for you guys today, but let's see how he can do against us.
Though seriously, that was just a bad game for us yesterday. What the hell happened to you, CC?

He'll come around; he's just getting used to his new team and it threw him off his game.
Just wait until CC(C2?) gets his next start. I'll leave it at: I'm glad he's out of the AL Central.

Hey, speaking of the AL Central, you gotta be happy with what Thome did, coming through with a walk-off HR today.

Yea, I was watching it live and saw Josh Fields perfect bunt, Getz getting advancing him, and Thome with the punctuation mark on it all.
Big Bobby with the save too.

Though seriously, that was just a bad game for us yesterday. What the hell happened to you, CC? The exact same thing that happened to Randy Johnson: he was great elsewhere and became junk once he put on pinstripes. In Sabathia's case, New York bought in to enormous hype and paid the guy 161 million dollars, which is obscene considering that that's three times what some TEAMS are paid. I want the Yankees to be good, but the team has really gone downhill in recent years. Whether its because their minor league system is in the toilet or because Steinbrenner got rid of Joe Torre, something is definitely wrong in the Bronx.

I think it's because of Torre not being there.
