Hey guys,
Ever since I moved all my running journal-ing to my blog outrunningcrohns.blogspot.com, I haven't been coming on here as often with updates on my races/running.
Though you'll catch all my updates on my blog nowadays, I did want to stop by on here to share a recent appearance I made on a local running talk show here in NYC called "Gotta Run with Will". For winning the 2016 Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge I was invited onto the show to tell my story and discuss a range of topics including running with Crohn's disease, growing up, filmmaking and of course, my memorable experience at this year's NYC Marathon.
Check it out if you have a chance. I don't believe many of you have seen me actually speak on camera, so I figured you'd get a kick out of it!
See you around!

It is true that you are someone who has 'known' me since before I started running at all and hearing that from you makes me really happy and motivated to keep doing what I do!

Well it's true what I wrote! It's strange to see someone grow up and grow literally as a person in a rapid pace. I know I didn't know a lot of what you went through because you internalize so much but trust me.. your story is inspirational in so many facets. Those dealing with loss, dealing with illnesses, and challenging themselves in things that by all rights most people wouldn't even dare. And being 22 damn.. I feel like I haven't lived life. LOL

LOL Haha, you've been to SASUKE... TWICE! There's a lot I'd give up just to go once! Anyway, thank you as always for the encouragement. Like I said, this is just the beginning!

As part of my general lurking around the Sasuke Maniac forum, I've actually been following your blog posts for a long time, and I figured this was as good a chance as any to finally say thank you!
Your improvement and attitude are really inspiring, and as an animation student, I can really appreciate you balancing a film course with your running training!

Your improvement and attitude are really inspiring, and as an animation student, I can really appreciate you balancing a film course with your running training! Thank you so much! I do wonder from time to time if there are any lurkers out there reading my blog posts, at least I write with the hope that there are. I really appreciate your words and I will keep working hard so I can continue to improve! It always helps motivate me knowing I've reached someone. And yeah, balancing filmmaking with running can be tricky, especially if you work in production– but balancing ANIMATION sounds really tough! I have a lot of friends who studied it and I was part impressed and part intimidated with the amount of dedication it requires. That's a marathon in and of itself! Best of luck to you!

Fun update!
This morning was the NYC Half. I further improved my personal best to 1:20:24 and in doing so qualified for guaranteed entry to the 2018 NYC Marathon, NYC Half and Brooklyn Half via time qualifying standards!
My previous two races, the Manhattan Half and Al Gordon 4M also went really well. I took 2nd in my age group for both and also set PR's (though the Manhattan Half is no longer my personal best as of today!).
Now I look onward to the Brooklyn Half, where I guess I'll finally be aiming for the big sub-1:20!
