Overall it was a clean broadcast. As with any network, they were going to have promo overlays for other shows in some form. At least they only had the ANW/TNW logos fill the red corner which was NW-related, and they used the Ninja Warrior hashtag. Very pleased that once they went widescreen, they got rid of them entirely. Bonus points for not having random text promos anywhere, or a giant image spontaneously blocking the bottom of the screen, or G4's news ticker. This was especially great for archiving purposes!
I really hope they air this regularly. Weekend marathons? "Ninja Warrior Weekends" would be great.

According to Esquire's TV schedule, the tournaments will begin to air again in chunks starting on he 20th. Sasuke 2-7 will be aired the 20th and 21st. Not sure when the next set airs after that, though.

It'd be sorta random not to. Sorry for sounding as if chunks beyond 2-7 were confirmed in my other post. My guess is that the chunks of tournaments will air intermittently until they reach 27, and 28 will air shortly after that. Sort of off topic, but assuming another set airs after 2-7, we can potentially predict the air date of 28. Let's say the 8-13 set airs a month after 2-7 set. Then we can assume that the sets will air one month apart. 28 should air shortly after the set containing 27 airs. But that's just a theory.

I actually found out about which tournaments they are from the Esquire mobile app. I just linked you the website's schedule because I assumed that would show the tournaments too. My bad.

Glad they put which tourneys on their mobile ap. Sadly the webpage on computer doesn't. That's a glaring oversight IMO.

So, interesting development. I was wondering whether Esquire would put the classic NW episodes on their on demand site and the answer is...sort of. They Sasuke 1-3 and Kunoichi 1 (Kunoichi 2's first NW episode is there but nothing else for Kunoichi) on the site. Yes, you read right. Sasuke 1. So whatever the reason for their aversion to airing it on TV, it is online via Esquire. From the homepage, you have to go to "Full Episodes" and scroll down to "Watch the Latest Episodes" and their listed (haphazardly, but there) 'Ninja Warrior 101' (example for Sasuke 1). Classic NW doesn't have its own archive listing like their other shows. But if they're willing to put some on there, maybe they eventually will have more uploaded? Ninja Warrior 101Ninja Warrior 201Ninja Warrior 202Ninja Warrior 203Ninja Warrior 301Ninja Warrior 302Ninja Warrior 303Women of Ninja Warrior 101Women of Ninja Warrior 102Women of Ninja Warrior 201Of course, they're locked unless you have a cable subscription (you don't need to have the channel, you just to have a cable provider that carries it and allows those kind of on demand log ins). If you don't have cable, your best possible chance is hoping someone you know who does trusts you with that kind of sensitive information.

Good to know they will continue to air the tourneys on a regular basis. I missed Ninja Warrior 2-4 last time. It should be easier to catch now.

The first 8-hour marathon starting with Sasuke 2 begins tonight at primetime. Interesting is that next week's marathon will show Sasuke 1 at the end of the day (3 or 2 am depending on timezone).

It's amazing to see stars and how they've grown to such mature and amazing ninjas. SASUKE 3 was Shingo's best performance as we all know. I can't wait to see him work his way to the final stage WITHOUT the shoulder being an issue.

Octopus getting farther on the Escargot than some vets in 26 is still a wonder of the universe. And it is said that in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and Takuya Kawahara timing out in Stage 1. Not as surprising as his getting to Stage 2 twice (that I've seen) in VIKING Now if Katsuhide Torisawa or Aoki did better than vets...that'd be crazy

Ok Tatsukawa's fail in SASUKE 4 is DEFINITELY foreshadowing what would be Shingo's downfall in SASUKE 31... O.O

I would be far more excited for this if I had never watched "Ninja Warrior" 27 or the original Japanese version those years ago.

That said, my hope is that 28+ will help raise the stature of Sasuke again. Lord knows many just stopped following it when G4 stopped airing new episodes. So many just wanted the translations and in that absence they just left. And of course the thousands of whom never heard of this before ANW and are actually excited to see the new stuff.

Introducing, the warped wall. We'll never get rid of it so get used to it being around.
