How many noticed Dark Horse's octagon shaved head? Next to Yamada right after Yuuji cleared the Cliffhanger.

I must have blinked and only saw the arm of his jacket. I DID notice, though! A little to the left, if you please, Mr. Cameraman. Yamada's doing his mouth in that really unattractive way again, I'm going to start channelling MamaSnowy any minute now.

Whatever people think of Yamada the fact he stayed to watch these new young guys and to support them in stages 2 3 and the final and the fact he really wanted to see one of them win should put no doubt in anyones mind his love for sasuke is bright as ever and even though he knows inside his best days are behind him he is man enough to support on the new guys as he knows they are the future all stars.

My own opinion on this.. I believe Monster 9 asked the All-Stars to leave so they will not have an unfair advantage against everyone else by analyzing the course LIVE with the ones that DID make it there this time. I doubt they think Katsumi will ever see the 3rd stage on his own.. and I believe they kept him there because Yuuji was tied to him with that Bug and Miki video from last year. That's my thought process at least. It's already common knowledge that a few people believe the All-Stars shouldn't be hanging around if they were eliminated.. especially the later stages where they can benefit from seeing the obstacles up close. This only cements that idea.

Maybe they were all so disappointed they left on their own I guess.

Maybe they were all so disappointed they left on their own I guess. That's what I was thinking too. I wonder if that's why I didn't see Shingo during the later stages in 21 while Shiratori and Yamada stayed to watch the third stage.

Wait..define support.
I don't remember, what exactly was Yamada doing during the 2nd, 3rd and Final Stages? I seem to recall him just sort of..standing there.

I think that is Yamada's definition of support. Although he must have been moritfied when he saw his reaction to Kanno passing stage 1, he almost accidently smiled!

Well only talking about the All-Stars. Nagano had a pregnant wife and if I were him I'd take her away from a cold open field to rest. Takeda and Akiyama are glued to Nagano at all times. Shingo leaves early anyway if he's eliminated and it is exceedingly rare that he stays further than stage 2 if he is eliminated. As for Yamada... he stays for the cameras. That's an indisputable fact.

Arsenette: That sounds like a logical idea... but then what is your explanation for the G4 contestants and Kenji Takahashi staying?
I was just thinking they were all too depressed to stay but Yamada didn't want to leave, it seemed like he was actually hoping Yuuji would get far.

About the G4 guys, you won a contest to win a trip to japan and compete on a show that you're going to see before it's shown in japan, are you really going to leave after your run is over!?

I love Kongo.. I do.. but I don't think he's going to get there either Besides.. considering that in 20 Takeda and Nagano were eliminated early and Levi was the only guy there and they let them stay.. did you notice how they sat and analyzed the course on their own.. then came back and beat the living S..t out of the cousre in 21? I'm sure they didn't' want that to happen again.. especially those 2... Shingo's never seen the course past stage 2 in great detail since he always leaves when he's done. Unlike Nagano who brings his boss and shipmates.. Shingo has to work in the morning.. he IS the Boss and has to be there bright and early in the morning.

Rider: By Arsenettes explanation they told the All-stars to leave, and it wasn't their choice. I see no reason why they wouldn't tell the americans or Takahashi to leave.

G4 has been known to do wtf they want anyway. That's always been a point of contention but it's not like they want to bite the hand that feeds them. Besides it's not like G4 has a good track record in bringing back everyone that has ever competed. For all we know G4 won't bring David back. As for going halfway across the world.. ask Michael Milner and Brian Philip Harlow.. they were forced to leave.
