He needs to learn that if life kicks the s*** outta you over and over again, you just gotta get back up and keep going after it even harder. This reminds me of Flip Rodriguez and David Campbell. Heartbreaking exits in a row, and all they did was get back up and keep trying. He's taking the p**** way out.

Argentina have been very unlucky lately...I think Messi wants to focus on playing for Barca now...

Dude has been living a very hard life as a Captain for the Int. Team. Dealt with the Runner-Up loss against Germany must of stinged... ALOT, and in that same day (Well almost night for them in the game), Argentina rioted the streets because they lost... Dude has been getting a Runner-Up in Copa America this year must've hurt him more. It's hard to be in his shoes when he let down sooooo many fans of his Home Country, I hope this man can eventually come back since the Olympics is just near around the corner, and maybe hopefully, he can go there and win a Gold Medal for his team. Would love to see it happen though .

Messi is not the only one retiring. Many Argentine players are retiring, and it's probably not because of the final, but the corruption in the Argentinian Football Association. Apparently, there is a chance that Argentina could be banned from FIFA competitions due to government intervention (or something like that). But it's not just Messi, there is also Agüero, Mascherano, Lavezzi, Biglia, Higuain, and others retiring from international soccer now or very soon.

What has this got to do with Sasuke? Um...it...doesn't? I mean you're in the general discussion thread.

What has this got to do with Sasuke? What does anything in this thread have to do with Sasuke? Why not comment on those threads?

He's only 29 and going to retire? Sad, his last free against USA was the best.

He's just retiring from international play. He's still going to play for Barca.
But, yeah, Argentina's FA is horrifically corrupt. They had a vote for the next President, and they had 76 votes with 75 people. This has been something of note in Argentina for a while now, but now the players are actually doing something about it.
