Thanks to Arsenette for reminding me to check into this.
From on-camera-audiences.com:
It appears USA vs. The World is going two nights this year, with the All-Stars Challenge returning for a second year.
This thread is for the All-Stars Challenge only. Please keep discussion of the Las Vegas Finals and USA vs. The World to their respective threads.

Personally I like the skills challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if they made the final decision based on feedback from last month. Really curious of the obstacles they are building for that. Seems build day for that will be Sunday the 19th since that's the day off.

I think a super-skills cliffhanger could be cool. Farther gaps, farther crazy jump.
I personally thought the skills were great, although I could do without Team Matt vs. Akbar

I'm sure if they threw in more competitors and more obstacles, they could round out 2 hours with just Skills Comp.

I'm actually excited for the two-day international competition. It makes me believe that they are further expanding it this year, perhaps with more teams or more competitors per team. Consider my hyped for the skills competition/international tourney.
EDIT: Some ideas for "Mega-Obstacles" they could do are a "Mega Jumping Spider", where the walls are moved higher/further away each time, "Mega Salmon Ladder 2", where the rungs get further apart as you go up, and "Mega Cliffhanger", where the ledges are made thinner each time.

Found out that they didn't cut the team event. They just changed a bit of the format and made it relays with 3 teams.

The team challenge gives us a chance to see how guys who might never make it to Stage 2 or 3 would do on those courses. So, it's not totally useless.

I hope they air this not long after the finale. I might be looking too far into this, but in ANW5 they aired USA vs the World in January, but Vegas had a record number of stage 2 finishers and Brian made it all the way to the flying bar. In ANW6 they aired it right after the finale, but in reality the finale was sort of boring in comparison. Obviously last year they delayed USA v the World and Skills until later, but in the regular season we had 2 total victories. If there is a pattern, then I'm guessing at least USA v the World if not this too will be aired in the weeks after the finale.

Isn't it a bit unfair that one person has to go left and the other right? Why not the same direction?
