Why was the invisible ladder replaced by the rope? So boring.

Why was the invisible ladder replaced by the rope? So boring. Honestly it felt like an improvement, the Invisible Ladder is a fine obstacle but it feels terrible in Team Ninja Warrior, seriously slows down the pace and personally I preferred the Tower Climb from season 1

I’d prefer a combination of Salmon Ladder and Invisible Ladder... place it in TNW and after felt it’s good then make it in ANW10

I was hoping that Labrekfast club made the finals. They had been really good in both wildcard and regular episodes. The wings I really wanted to make the finals but oh well. The Swinging Spikes was a good choice. If they did the fly wheels again then... . Better than last week's episode but still not the greatest ever. The rope climb was better than the invisible ladder but still not good.

Wild Card round two may have been the best episode of TNW yet, including season 1.
One question.
{Spoiler} Why did the Godfather climb the rope in the in the first relay? It ended up not mattering, but in closer final relay that wasted energy could have cost NorCal Ninjas the spot in the finals.

Last night was ok it didn't expect Towers of Powers to fail early since I was rooting for them. Once again someone got injured and Sean Bryan came. I was impressed by the NorCal Ninjas despite Bryan's injury. Can't wait for the finals.

I think it was a pride thing to show that David can still do this and age hasn't got up to him. Think of it like this remember when Brent ran against Joe Moravsky the first time and Joe force a tie but Brent wanted to go again despite the fact he wasn't having the best results compare to his other teammate. Honestly if the other teammate would of gone they probably would of won but Brent hasn't pulling the best results so he decided to go again to prove he still got it but it didn't go as plan. So with David cause he is approaching 40 and he may not be able to run with the young new competitors so he probably climb to show "Hey despite my age I still got it"

{Spoiler} Yeah I thought so too, what a dumb move I guess he either didn't know that his opponent fell or it was just his pride. Funny, that they actually caught a break with Kretsch's injury. Bryan was much better.
PS Does anyone else also think that Bryan looks like a twin of Ian Dory??

Wow, what another glaring example of the godawful scoring system in TNW. They have to find a way to fix this. The current scoring system seems specifically designed to create this dynamic. If TNW gets picked up for a third season, I hope the producers come up with a better system.
Agree on everything. A lot is wrong with this system.
It's okay to reward clutch performance (and Jamie has been super-clutch), but not like this. The Wings were indeed an extreme case. If I remember right, they were 4-9 in runs overall (not counting relays), and yet they almost made it to the final.

So now that the Finals are around the corner, what matchups would you create if you could decide?
I'd do it like this:
Week 1 - Real Life vs Iron Grip: First I wanted them in different weeks to preserve the chance to see the two stage 3 guys from last year face off in the final, but that's too risky. No kidding around, let's start top-heavy. There could be a rematch in the relay. - TNT vs NorCal: Godfather vs Ageless Wonder. And would Rosen bring his Captain Clutch game when he'll inevitably face an elite ninja in round 2?
Week 2 - Storm Team vs Ronin: Again two powerhouses straight off the bat. Joe was a one man wrecking crew in qualifying. Can he repeat that against a great 1-2 punch like Flip & JJ? - Golden Hearts vs Think Tank: Well, it's the only two left, duh. The undefeated Matt Wilder will be a nice dark horse pick against one of the top guys in round 2.
And how would your brackets look like?

Not really the end result I wanted but was my preseason prediction. Having known about Erica's injury all these months, I figured it would cost Beasts.
Pretty cool that we got multiple Sasuke vets racing each other. That was a sight to see.

Apparently the wild card episode where NorCal Ninja won the 1st relay was taped before the Superhero Squad won their relay. Explains why David ran the course. He had a break afterwards.
Personally I think ATS needs to re-evaluate the safety of the course. Too many people got injured this season.

Personally I think ATS needs to re-evaluate the safety of the course. Too many people got injured this season. I completely agree on both points. David Campbell's decision to climb the rope seemed foolish. Now it's understandable but the affect of the two climbs seems obvious after the finals. Prior to the finals episode I was concerned about the injuries broadcast and those alluded to in other posts. After this episode I was foaming at the mouth. The ninjas are not receiving compensation equivalent to the risks.

PS: My personal highlight of the episode was Paul Kasemir's shirt

Now that the season is over, I can finally ask this because it's not a spoiler anymore. Where the hell does this come from??
On US's website the preview is listed as "Qualifying Week 5". Unfortunately I can't watch it because I don't live in the US. Could someone else? The obstacle is from wildcard week, but they didn't run there. Also, they're wearing different clothes than in their regular episode.
So when did this happen, what is this?? Or did they just shoot a promo or something?
