I'm amazed it is that early. No wonder Inui was pulling crazy hours and getting sick.. I can't imagine having to do that with 1 less week than last year and several days with no footage. Geez

The TV schedules for early July aren't available yet but it will probably be going up against other variety specials. It's between drama seasons on TBS as usual.

Just a note: the official SASUKE twitter account is saying 6:30 to 9:48.

Just a note: the official SASUKE twitter account is saying 6:30 to 9:48. Is 3:18 fairly short for a SASUKE? I can't remember how long the others were but I thought around 4 hours?

The last two shows (30, 31) have been close to four hours. This will be the same length as 28 which was half-an-hour longer than 29. The longest show was 24 which was six hours long.

So that means that either a few people will make it to Stage 2 & 3 or there will be lots of cut and digested runs (Probably the 1st one with the 2nd being in the mix to a certain degree as well)

To be fair, the length of the broadcast does not necessarily reflect the results of a tournament. SASUKE 27 was only a half hour longer, and its results were some of the best we've seen since the early days of the show. In fact, looking back at the broadcast lengths of all SASUKE tournaments, pretty much every one of them pre-SASUKE 20 was between 2 and 3 hours long (and a few of them since SASUKE 20 have been in/near that time range as well). In the end, it's all about how the editing is done, and how the commercial breaks are played out (though the latter point is probably a factor to a lesser extent, as I can't imagine the duration of commercial breaks has changed drastically over the past 20 years). EDIT: 2,500th post.

The time slot isn't as much to do with commercials as much with how much time TBS is willing to give them, in which case they got a pretty standard time slot for them.
Really the main odd one out was Sasuke 24 which they thought because it was a new years day special having a long broadcast would be a good idea to drag in some people channel surfing on a big TV day.

Seems like we'd be cut short on time, but will there be a guessing game and a pre show this year?

how about the date of sasuke 32 navi We won't find out for another week. They usually quietly post that on their website or not at all. It's kinda hit or miss.
