looks like Itō Ryūsuke is back announcing in the 2nd chair Oh nice catch! Btw did a blog on the past week's worth of stuff. If anyone can help with the names of the people on the show that ran the first course (outside of Hard Gay) could you let me know? I'll edit that in tomorrow.

Nice to see SASUKE get some outside promotion there! We need more of that!

It's funny that I know the name of the guy extremely making fun of Yamada. Hamada Masatoshi, his partner Matsumoto Hitoshi also. Oh Downtown... Such a cute little moment for SASUKE and Akiyama's smile is quite contagious. ^_^

It seems like the distance from the last step to the Rolling Hill is quite big to be reached casually (Considering that Yamada is 178cm/5'11"). It'll be interesting to see how the competitors will approach it (Probably in the same way Razor Ramon HG did). And finally I lol'd when I heard Hamada, Matsumoto and Iwao mocking Yamada.

Based off being fortunate to find a blog type post that had a screenshot of the competitor lineup with the names listed as well plus some Google-fu I think I got the full listing (it doesn't help that the comedians are announced as 'comedy group' + last name but their full names are properly listed on the individual Sasuke competitor graphic with the exception of Hironobu) 1st competitor: Hironobu Komiya 三四郎小宮 (comedian of the comedy group Sanshiro, he also seemingly competed in a VS Arashi episode) 2nd competitor: Hiroshi Yamamoto 山本博 (comedian of the comedy group Robert -- hence him being announced as "Robert Yamamoto" -- apparently competed in Sasuke 21 according to his Wiki where he failed the Log Grip) 3rd competitor: Shūsuke Fukutoku 福徳 秀介 (comedy of the comedy group JARU JARU) 4th competitor: Jun Utahiroba 歌広場 淳 ('bass player' for Golden Bomber -- as we know Kyan/Can Yutaka and Kenji Darvish are competing in Sasuke 5th competitor: Kayo Satoh 佐藤かよ (aka Kayo Police, model and TV personality; she came out as a trans woman in 2010 -- she was the digested competitor who failed the Music Box with HG) (listed their names Western style, the kanji should be traditional Japanese order)

I'm interested if you guys like the idea of bringing back guys no longer actually competing alongside celebs. To me it is a genius move. Gives fans of the show something to watch and builds hype whilst simultaneously exposing the show to a wider audience in advance. A win/win.
EDIT: Also, 550 posts. Gives me a little twinge of satisfaction every time those stars change.

That sounds like a completely separate conversation that has nothing to do with Sasuke 32.

They will announce the date for Sasuke on the 19th. Presumably at or just after the festival.

Hoping Otaku gets some of this after a bit. Yeah me too. They usually get the stuff they couldn't sell in Japan. Btw seems the ones ordered from me will have to go out next week after all. Grrr

In order not to miss this year's drama, thank you to share & Announcements to a lot of people! Looks like Sasuke 32 will air at 6:30pm on July 3rd, so 5:30am EDT, 10:30am BDT, and 2:30am PDT.

Yay! Just read that, Sunday broadcast is great for those of us watching from another timezone! I was going to have to try and take a day off, or work from home, great news I'm assuming that's 18:30 - 22:30, not 06:30 ! That would have it starting at 10:30 UK time, not my usual time to be up and about on a Sunday(as I'll normally got bed at about 05:00), but for this I'll set the alarm! Looking forward to the shared viewing again, really missed all the interaction last year when I couldn't watch live.

So Venus was technically right after all. July 3rd! I can EASILY watch it because Saturday night is the day to stay up all night.
