Sure, the show may go on. But is it right? Irrelevant. It's a TV show. They're bringing in people to drive up ratings. This is why we've seen David no-called and Ian Dory and Brian Arnold digested. Side note: I heard a rumbling that they hired a new casting team this year, almost all of whom have never seen ANW before. So... yeah. That actually makes a lot of sense. All of the big competitors not accepted were all mainly digested or not talked about, so the inexperienced casting team would have no clue who they were. For example, apparently Brian Wilchezki's submission video wasn't that good, and he didn't have the time to fix it. So the casting team probably skimmed the episodes a bit, and not seeing him, because he was digested 4 times, they wouldn't have known he was a good competitor. So basing on his video alone, they didn't accept him. I wouldn't be shocked if that was the case.

It could be argued that the old favourites who people have kept up with for a long time bring in the ratings more than unknown "new faces" (bar celebs) ever could. After all, that is demonstrated every year by how much they plug Kacy for her PAST achievements. But when people like Brent, Evan Dollard etc... get no-called, then it'll be a real problem.

So the LA City Final will Air July 11th Yep. Independence Day (July 4th) has it's own programming and that affects all channels not just NBC.

I expected some of the guys that where digested that finish will have their profiles in the Finals because they generaly move on most years. I think it would be a really hard job to determine who gets in and who does not as more and more people are applying for the show every year and hundreds stand in the walk on lines it is crazy and we are seeing more and more competitors that are skilled and move on as a rookie or do while first time on the course Able was one he made stage 2 and stage 3 his first two years. There are probaly a lot of people deserving of a chance from the walk online to submissions and only so many spots.

Seems the entire casting team that was there in place walked off and NBC had to scramble to get a whole new team that has zero experience with ANW. It explains a lot of the problems we are seeing now.

I'm expecting only two finishes. You would think Bull can do the invisible ladder by now after getting so close last year and I think the obstacles leading up to it this year are less intense on the upper body. I'm gonna go Kevin and Nick Coolridge.

Got an anonymous tip as to some of the LA results but wasn't sure of the validity so I didn't post them. What you said was one of them and I forgot there wasn't a spoiler post You can put that back now. My bad, everyone.

Re: the anonymous tip, I received validation from a second source (and I swear on my life these are different people). Josh Levin was the only finisher. Jessie Graff got to the Double Helix which was the 9th obstacle. Everyone else who got to the Wedge failed there.

I'm surprised that Jess failed the Double Helix. It looks like an easy obstacle... [ The Double Helix is one of the toughest 9th obstacles ever. It's a very weird reach and there is a lot of moves. When I talked to James McGrath in Vegas last year, he said it's the toughest obstacle he ever faced.
